완주군청소년문화의집 청소년방과후아카데미가 청소년 봉사동아리 ‘청청쉬어’를 운영하며 또래 중심의 수어(手語) 교육 활동에 나섰다.

‘청청쉬어’는 ‘청소년이 청소년에게 알려주는 쉬운 수어’라는 뜻을 담은 동아리로, 청소년들이 직접 수어를 배우고 이를 바탕으로 또래 친구들에게 쉽게 설명하고 전달하는 활동을 펼친다.

특히 이들은 단순한 수어 학습에 그치지 않고, 콘텐츠 기획과 영상 제작까지 주도적으로 진행한다. 대중교통 이용법, 응급상황 대처법 등 일상 속에서 활용 가능한 수어 표현들을 주제로 영상을 만들어 다양한 채널을 통해 공유할 계획이다.

이번 활동은 청소년들의 자율성과 창의성을 기반으로 하며, 수어에 대한 인식을 넓히고 소통의 폭을 확장하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

최정선 완주군청소년문화의집 관장은 “청소년들이 배운 것을 또래와 지역사회에 나누는 긍정적인 흐름이 이어지고 있다”며 “앞으로도 이들의 자율적이고 창의적인 활동을 적극 응원하겠다”고 말했다.

The Youth Culture House and After-School Academy at Wanju County Office have launched a youth volunteer club called 'Cheongcheongshieo' and are engaging in peer-centered sign language education activities.

'Cheongcheongshieo' is a club that means 'easy sign language taught by youth to youth,' where teenagers learn sign language themselves and engage in activities to easily explain and communicate it to their peers based on what they have learned.

In particular, they are not only limited to simple sign language learning but also take the lead in content planning and video production. They plan to create videos on sign language expressions that can be used in daily life, such as public transportation usage and emergency situation handling, and share them through various channels.

This activity is expected to contribute to broadening the awareness of sign language and expanding the scope of communication, based on the autonomy and creativity of the teenagers.

Choi Jung-seon, the director of the Youth Culture House at Wanju County Office, said, "A positive trend of teenagers sharing what they have learned with their peers and the local community is continuing," and added, "We will actively support their autonomous and creative activities in the future."
