제41회 전북특별자치도 지체장애인체육대회가 지난 24일 무주읍 등나무운동장에서 열렸다. 이번 대회는 “다함께·굳세게·끝까지”라는 슬로건 아래 전북특별자치도지체장애인협회와 무주군지회가 주최·주관하고 전북특별자치도와 무주군이 후원했다.
행사에는 황인홍 무주군수, 오광석 무주군의회 의장, 윤정훈 도의원 등 내빈과 도내 14개 시군 대표 선수 등 1,500여 명이 참여해 열기를 더했다.
참가자들은 고리 던지기, 공 튀기기, 게이트볼, 미니 파크골프, 좌식배구, 한궁 등 다양한 종목에서 실력을 겨뤘으며, 장기자랑을 통해 화합과 우정을 다졌다.
황인홍 군수는 “여러분의 열정이 성취의 기쁨으로 이어지길 바란다”며 “무주대회가 서로에게 용기와 희망을 전하는 화합의 장이 되길 기대한다”고 말했다. 박경노 협회장 역시 “무주에서 대회를 개최하게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “이번 체육대회가 경쟁을 넘어선 축제가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
한편, 전북 지체장애인체육대회는 지체장애인의 자기계발과 체력 증진, 사회참여 확대를 목표로 매년 열리며, 지역사회 통합과 장애 인식 개선에도 기여하고 있다.
The 41st Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Physical Disability Sports Competition was held on the 24th at the Deungnamu Sports Field in Mujoo-eup. This competition was organized and hosted by the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Physical Disability Association and the Mujoo County Association under the slogan "Together, Strong, Until the End," with sponsorship from Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province and Mujoo County.
The event was attended by around 1,500 participants, including guests such as Hwang In-hong, the mayor of Mujoo County, Oh Kwang-seok, the chairman of the Mujoo County Council, Yoon Jung-hoon, a provincial council member, and representatives of 14 cities and counties in the province, adding to the excitement.
Participants competed in various events such as ring toss, ball bouncing, gateball, mini park golf, seated volleyball, and archery, showcasing their skills and fostering harmony and friendship through friendly competition.
Mayor Hwang In-hong expressed his hope that the passion of the participants would lead to the joy of achievement, stating, "I hope the Mujoo competition becomes a place of harmony that conveys courage and hope to each other." Association Chairman Park Gyeong-no also shared his sentiments, saying, "It is meaningful to host the competition in Mujoo," and expressing his wish for the sports competition to become a festival that goes beyond mere competition.
The Jeonbuk Physical Disability Sports Competition is held annually with the goal of promoting self-development, physical fitness, and increased social participation for individuals with physical disabilities, contributing to community integration and improving awareness of disabilities in the region.
