전주솔내유치원과 군산새빛유치원, 군산내흥초등학교는 전주·군산 개발지구 내 공동주택 증가에 따른 학생 수요에 대응해 신설됐다. 장수 옛 원촌초 부지에 들어서는 덕유샘학교는 동부산악권 특수학교로, 장수·무주·진안 지역 특수교육 대상 학생들의 교육환경 개선에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
전북교육청은 지난해 12월 교직원 발령을 시작으로 개교 준비를 단계적으로 진행해 왔으며, 현재 교실 정비와 기자재 설치, 학습 환경 점검 등을 마무리하고 있다.
김정주 행정과장은 “학생과 학부모가 안심할 수 있도록 개교 전까지 세부 점검을 철저히 진행하고 있다”며 “안전하고 쾌적한 교육환경 조성에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education announced on the 19th that four schools, including Jeonju Solnae Kindergarten in Songcheon-dong, Jeonju, Gunsan Saebit Kindergarten and Gunsan Naehyung Elementary School in Naehyung-dong, Gunsan, and Deokyu Sam School in Gyebok-myeon, Jangsu-gun, will open their doors next month for the new semester.
Jeonju Solnae Kindergarten has 16 classes, Gunsan Saebit Kindergarten has 14 classes, Gunsan Naehyung Elementary School has 25 classes, and Deokyu Sam School has 7 classes to accommodate new students.
Jeonju Solnae Kindergarten, Gunsan Saebit Kindergarten, and Gunsan Naehyung Elementary School were established in response to the increasing demand for students due to the development of Jeonju and Gunsan. Deokyu Sam School, located on the former Wonchon Elementary School site in Jangsu, is expected to contribute to improving the educational environment for students in the Dong Busan Special Education Zone, including students in Jangsu, Muju, and Jinan.
The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education has been gradually preparing for the opening of the schools since the staff appointments in December last year. Currently, they are finishing up tasks such as classroom maintenance, equipment installation, and inspection of the learning environment.
Kim Jung-joo, the head of the administrative department, stated, "We are thoroughly conducting detailed inspections until the schools open to ensure the safety and peace of mind of students and parents," adding, "We will strive to create a safe and pleasant educational environment."
