전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)이 전주 지역 작가들의 깊은 정서와 예술성을 담은 문학작품 5종을 오디오북과 전자책으로 제작, 3일부터 본격적인 전국 유통에 나선다.

이번 신작은 전주를 기반으로 활발히 활동 중인 작가들의 저력을 보여주는 구성으로 ▲김정배 시인의 시집 『밑줄 친 얼굴』 ▲윤형주 작가의 동시집 『1인 축구』 ▲정유진 작가의 동화책 『빨간 조끼의 비밀』 ▲조계영 작가의 동시집 『가나다의 마음』 ▲하기정 작가의 산문집 『간장게장과 아포가토』 등 총 5종이다.

재단은 급변하는 미디어 환경에 발맞춰 지역 문학의 영토를 넓히고자 이번 작품들을 오디오북과 전자책 형태로 제작했다. 이를 통해 독자들은 장소의 제약 없이 전국의 온라인 서점과 다양한 디지털 플랫폼(밀리의 서재, 윌라 등)에서 전주 작가들의 문장을 손쉽게 만날 수 있게 됐다.

특히 올해는 단순 출간을 넘어, 온·오프라인 경계를 허무는 독자 참여형 프로그램을 대폭 강화한다. 먼저 신간 발행을 기념해 4일부터 한 달간 주요 온라인 서점에서 ‘기대평·구매평 이벤트’를 진행한다. 독자들이 남긴 소중한 후기 중 추첨을 통해 소정의 상품을 증정할 예정이다.

지역민과 직접 호흡하는 자리도 마련된다. 오는 13일 오후 3시, 전주 구도심의 상징적 복합문화공간인 ‘기린토월’에서 오디오북 북콘서트 “문장, 소리를 담다”가 개최된다.

참여 작가 5인이 직접 출연하는 이번 행사는 작품 낭독, 오디오북 함께 듣기, 감미로운 음악 공연이 어우러진 다채로운 프로그램으로 꾸며지며 시민 누구나 무료로 참여할 수 있다.

최락기 전주문화재단 대표이사는 “이번 사업은 디지털 대전환 시대에 지역 작가들과 재단이 힘을 합쳐 전주 문학의 접점을 전국으로 확장하기 위해 기획됐다”며, “지난해 재단 제작 오디오북이 주요 서점 베스트셀러에 진입하며 경쟁력을 입증한 만큼, 올해 신작들도 전북을 넘어 전국의 독자들에게 큰 사랑을 받을 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

Jeonju Cultural Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) is set to distribute 5 literary works that encapsulate the deep emotions and artistic qualities of local authors in Jeonju in the form of audiobooks and e-books starting from the 3rd.

The new works showcase the talents of active authors based in Jeonju, including ▲ poet Kim Jung-bae's poetry collection "Underlined Faces" ▲ writer Yoon Hyeong-ju's collection of poems "One-Person Soccer" ▲ writer Jung Yoo-jin's fairy tale book "The Secret of the Red Vest" ▲ writer Jo Gye-young's collection of poems "The Heart of ABC" ▲ writer Ha Gi-jeong's essay collection "Soy Sauce Marinated Crab and Affogato", totaling 5 works.

In response to the rapidly changing media environment, the foundation produced these works in the form of audiobooks and e-books to expand the territory of regional literature. Through this, readers can easily encounter the sentences of Jeonju authors on various online bookstores nationwide and diverse digital platforms (such as Millie's Library, Willa) without the constraints of location.

Especially this year, beyond simple publication, they are significantly strengthening reader-participation programs that blur the boundaries between online and offline. To commemorate the release of the new works, from the 4th, major online bookstores will conduct an event called 'Expectation Reviews and Purchase Reviews' for a month. Through a draw among the valuable reviews left by readers, prizes will be given.

There will also be opportunities for direct interaction with local residents. On the 13th at 3 p.m., at the symbolic complex cultural space in downtown Jeonju, 'Girin Towol', an audiobook concert titled "Capturing Words, Filling with Sound" will be held.

This event, where 5 participating authors will appear, will be a diverse program that combines reading of works, listening to audiobooks together, and a delightful music performance, allowing any citizen to participate for free.

Choi Rak-gi, CEO of Jeonju Cultural Foundation, stated, "This project was planned for regional authors and the foundation to join forces in expanding the reach of Jeonju literature nationwide in the digital transformation era," adding, "As the foundation's audiobooks entered major bookstore bestseller lists last year, proving their competitiveness, we expect this year's new works to receive great love from readers nationwide beyond Jeonbuk."
