순창군청 남녀 소프트테니스팀이 제46회 회장기 소프트테니스 대회 실업팀 단체전에서 나란히 입상하는 쾌거를 이뤘다. 대회는 순창군 공설운동장에서 열렸다.

여자팀은 지난 3월 19일 열린 준결승전에서 안성시청에 1대 3으로 패했지만, 하야시다 리코와 신유나 선수가 복식 경기에서 승리를 거두며 동메달을 획득했다. 이번 입상은 지난해 창단된 여자팀의 첫 단체전 입상으로, 팀 재구성 이후 의미 있는 성과로 평가된다.

남자팀은 같은 날 열린 준결승전에서 수원시청을 3대 1로 꺾고 결승에 진출했으며, 결승에서는 순천시청에 1대 3으로 패하며 은메달을 차지했다. 진인대 선수는 단식과 복식에서 활약하며 팀을 결승까지 이끌었고, 설윤수-서범규 조가 복식에서 승리를 거두는 등 선전했다.

최영일 순창군수는 “남녀팀이 단체전에서 동반 입상한 첫 대회인 만큼 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 소프트테니스팀에 지속적인 관심과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

The men's and women's soft tennis teams of Sunchang County Office achieved the feat of winning awards side by side in the team competition of the 46th Chairman's Soft Tennis Tournament. The tournament was held at the Sunchang County Public Stadium.

The women's team lost 1 to 3 to Anseong City Hall in the semi-finals held on March 19, but Hayashida Riko and Shin Yuna won the doubles match, securing a bronze medal. This award is the first team award for the women's team since its establishment last year, and is considered a significant achievement since the team's reorganization.

The men's team defeated Suwon City Hall 3 to 1 in the semi-finals held on the same day and advanced to the finals, where they lost 1 to 3 to Suncheon City Hall and won a silver medal. Player Jin In-dae led the team to the finals with his performance in both singles and doubles, and the pair of Seol Yun-soo and Seo Beom-gyu also won in the doubles match.

Choi Young-il, the head of Sunchang County, said, "As this is the first tournament where both the men's and women's teams have won awards, it holds great significance," and added, "We will continue to show unwavering interest and support for the soft tennis team."
