전주국제영화제(공동집행위원장 민성욱·정준호)가 가치봄(배리어프리) 영화의 날 행사를 더 널리 알리고 사회적 관심을 높이기 위해 가치봄영화제와 함께 가치봄 앰배서더로 김보라 배우를 선정했다.

제26회 전주국제영화제는 최근 가치봄영화제와 업무협약을 체결하고, 영화제 기간 중 5월 7일과 8일 양일을 ‘가치봄(배리어프리) 영화의 날’로 지정했다. 영화제는 이 기간에 ‘특별상영: 가치봄(배리어프리) 영화’ 섹션을 운영하여 영화제 차원에서 가치봄의 가치를 확장‧실천할 예정이다.

이번 가치봄 앰배서더는 가치봄(배리어프리) 작품 연계 배우, 감독, 또는 대중성 있는 인물을 기준으로 전주국제영화제와 가치봄영화제가 공동으로 선정했다. 앰배서더로 선정된 김보라 배우는 제26회 전주국제영화제를 시작으로 올해 제26회 가치봄영화제까지 활동하며, 가치봄(배리어프리) 영화에 대한 사회적 관심을 높이고 더 많은 관객에게 그 의미를 알리는 것에 중요한 역할을 맡게 된다.

김보라 배우는 2005년부터 아역 배우로 연기를 시작해 2018년 방영 직후 국민적 인기를 끈 드라마 「SKY캐슬」에서 이목을 끄는 연기로 화제에 올랐다. 영화 <굿바이 썸머>(2019), <하드코어 로맨스>(2020), <괴기맨숀>(2021) <모럴센스>(2022), <옥수역귀신>(2023) 등에 출연했으며, 드라마에서도 「그녀의 사생활」(2019), 「SF8 – 우주인 조안」(2020), 「모래에도 꽃이 핀다」(2023), 「핀란드 파파」(2023), 「백설공주에게 죽음을-Black Out」(2024) 등 장르를 불문하고 다양한 작품에서 뛰어난 연기를 선보이며 차세대 배우로 주목받고 있다.

The 26th Jeonju International Film Festival recently signed a business agreement with the ValueBom Film Festival and designated May 7th and 8th as "ValueBom (Barrier-Free) Film Day" during the festival. The festival plans to operate a special screening section titled "Special Screening: ValueBom (Barrier-Free) Films" during this period to expand and practice the value of ValueBom at the festival level.

The ValueBom ambassador for this event was jointly selected by the Jeonju International Film Festival and the ValueBom Film Festival based on their connection to ValueBom (Barrier-Free) works as actors, directors, or public figures. Actress Kim Bo-ra, selected as the ambassador, will play an important role in raising social awareness of ValueBom (Barrier-Free) films and introducing their significance to a wider audience, starting from the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival to the 26th ValueBom Film Festival this year.

Kim Bo-ra began her acting career as a child actress in 2005 and gained attention for her performance in the popular drama "SKY Castle" immediately after its broadcast in 2018. She has appeared in films such as "Goodbye Summer" (2019), "Hardcore Romance" (2020), "The Odd Family: Zombie on Sale" (2021), "Moral Sense" (2022), "Ghost in the Oksu Station" (2023), and in dramas like "Her Private Life" (2019), "SF8 - Joan's Galaxy" (2020), "Flowers Bloom Even in the Sand" (2023), "Finnish Papa" (2023), and "To Snow White's Demise - Black Out" (2024), showcasing outstanding performances across various genres and gaining attention as a promising young actress.
