정읍시정신건강복지센터가 제53회 보건의 날을 맞아 지난 7일 신태인고등학교 전교생과 교직원을 대상으로 자살 예방 인식 개선 캠페인을 진행했다.

‘보건의 날, 모든 생명들이 행복하게 살아가는 날’이라는 슬로건 아래 진행된 이번 캠페인은 1교시 수업 시간에 맞춰 전교생이 함께 참여하는 방식으로, 정신건강의 중요성을 자연스럽게 체감할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램이 마련됐다.

현장에는 자살예방상담전화(109)와 생명의 소중함을 알리는 피켓이 배치돼 시각적 메시지를 전달했으며, 정신건강 자가검진과 알코올 중독 체험, 홍보물 및 음료 배부 등 부대행사도 함께 진행됐다.

손희경 보건소장은 “청소년들이 마음 건강의 중요성을 인식하고, 친구의 변화에 따뜻하게 반응할 수 있는 감수성을 갖기를 바란다”며 학교와의 연계 프로그램 확대를 예고했다.

Jeongeup Mental Health Welfare Center conducted a suicide prevention awareness campaign targeting all students and faculty members of Shintaeein High School on the 7th in celebration of the 53rd Health Day.

Under the slogan "Health Day, a day for all lives to live happily," this campaign, which took place in conjunction with the first period class, featured various programs that allowed students to naturally feel the importance of mental health.

At the event, suicide prevention counseling hotline (109) and pickets promoting the value of life were set up to visually convey the message. Additional activities such as mental health self-assessments, alcohol addiction experiences, distribution of promotional materials, and drinks were also carried out.

Son Hee-kyung, the director of the health center, expressed hopes for teenagers to recognize the importance of mental health and develop sensitivity to respond warmly to changes in their friends, hinting at expanding collaborative programs with schools.
