전북도교육청은 ‘임실 학교복합시설’이 2025년 1차 교육부 학교복합시설 공모사업에 선정됐다고 9일 밝혔다.

임실 학교복합시설은 임실동중학교 부지에 지상 4층, 지하 1층 규모(연면적 5,696.45㎡)로 건립되며, 총사업비 220억 원이 투입된다. 예산은 교육부 110억 원, 전북교육청 60억 원, 임실군 50억 원이 각각 분담한다.

시설에는 자기주도학습 공간, 미래교육 체험공간, 학생자치공간 등이 조성돼 학생들의 역량 개발과 사교육 부담 완화를 도모한다. 또한, 극심한 주차난을 겪던 지역 특성을 고려해 운동장 지하에 115면 규모의 지하주차장을 설치해 주민 편의도 함께 높일 계획이다.

이번 선정을 포함해 전북교육청은 학교복합시설 공모사업에서 총 5개 시‧군이 선정되며, 892억 원의 국비 및 지방비를 확보하는 성과를 거뒀다.

On the 9th, the Jeollabuk-do Office of Education announced that the "Imsil School Complex Facility" was selected in the first round of the 2025 Ministry of Education's School Complex Facility public offering project.

The Imsil School Complex Facility will be constructed on the site of Imsil Middle School in Imsil-dong, with a total of four above-ground floors and one underground floor (total floor area of 5,696.45 square meters), and a total project cost of 22 billion won will be invested. The budget will be shared by the Ministry of Education with 11 billion won, Jeollabuk-do Office of Education with 6 billion won, and Imsil County with 5 billion won.

The facility will include spaces for self-directed learning, future education experience, student governance, etc., aiming to promote students' capacity development and alleviate the burden of private education. Additionally, considering the severe lack of parking in the area, plans include installing a 115-space underground parking lot beneath the sports field to enhance convenience for residents.

Including this selection, the Jeollabuk-do Office of Education has had a total of 5 cities and counties selected in the School Complex Facility public offering project, securing a total of 89.2 billion won in national and local funds.
