제26회 전주국제영화제(공동집행위원장 민성욱·정준호)가 5월 9일 오후 6시 30분으로 예정된 폐막식 사회자로 강길우 배우와 김보라 배우를 선정해 발표했다.

제26회 전주국제영화제는 10일간의 풍성한 축제 끝에 5월 9일 오후 6시 30분, 전북대학교 삼성문화회관에서 대단원의 막을 내린다. 올해 폐막작은 김옥영 감독의 <기계의 나라에서>이며, 폐막식 사회자는 강길우 배우와 김보라 배우로 낙점됐다.

강길우 배우는 제23회와 제24회 전주국제영화제 폐막식에서도 사회를 맡은 바 있으며, ‘전주프로젝트’ 작품 <정말 먼 곳>(2020)에도 주연으로 출연하며 전주국제영화제와 오랜 인연을 이어오고 있다. 최근에는 영화 <프랑켄슈타인 아버지>(2025), <전,란>(2024), <로기완>(2024)을 비롯해 드라마 「나의 완벽한 비서」(2025), 「악귀」(2023), 「더 글로리」(2022), 「재벌집 막내아들」(2022) 등 다양한 장르와 시대를 넘나드는 활약을 펼치며, 넓은 연기 스펙트럼과 인상 깊은 캐릭터로 대중의 사랑을 받고 있다.

함께 폐막식 사회를 맡은 김보라 배우는 독립영화와 상업영화를 넘나드는 다채로운 작품 활동을 통해 자신만의 색깔을 보여주고 있다. 제26회 전주국제영화제의 ‘가치봄(배리어프리) 앰배서더’로 선정됐으며, 제26회 가치봄 영화제에서도 활약을 이어갈 예정이다. 드라마 「SKY 캐슬」(2018)을 통해 브라운관에서 대중에게 강렬한 인상을 남긴 김보라 배우는 드라마 「사마귀」(2025), 「백설공주에게 죽음을-Black Out」(2024), 「모래에도 꽃이 핀다」(2023), 영화 <옥수역귀신>(2023), <괴기맨숀>(2021), <굿바이 썸머>(2019) 등에서도 깊이 있는 연기를 선보이며 스크린에서도 활약하고 있다.

The 26th Jeonju International Film Festival will come to a grand close on May 9 at 6:30 p.m. after a rich 10-day festival at the Samsung Cultural Center at Jeonbuk University. This year's closing film is "In the Country of Machines" directed by Kim Ok-young, and the emcees for the closing ceremony are Kang Gil-woo and Kim Bo-ra.

Actor Kang Gil-woo has hosted the closing ceremonies of the 23rd and 24th Jeonju International Film Festivals and has a long-standing relationship with the festival, having also starred in the "Jeonju Project" film "Far Away" (2020). Recently, he has been active across various genres and eras in films such as "Frankenstein's Father" (2025), "Jeon, Ran" (2024), "Logiwan" (2024), and dramas like "My Perfect Secretary" (2025), "Goblin" (2023), "The Glory" (2022), and "Chaebol Family's Youngest Son" (2022), showcasing a wide acting spectrum and memorable characters that have earned him the love of the public.

Actress Kim Bo-ra, who co-hosted the closing ceremony, has shown her unique colors through a diverse range of works that transcend independent and commercial films. She was selected as the 'Value Spring (Barrier-Free) Ambassador' for the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival and is expected to continue her activities at the 26th Value Spring Film Festival. Known for leaving a strong impression on the audience through the drama "SKY Castle" (2018), Kim Bo-ra has also showcased deep acting in dramas like "Magpie" (2025), "Death to Snow White - Black Out" (2024), "Flowers Bloom Even in the Sand" (2023), and films such as "Ghost at Oksoo Station" (2023), "The Odd Family: Zombie on Sale" (2021), and "Goodbye Summer" (2019), actively engaging on the screen.
