-지체장애·청각장애 순, ‘심한 장애’ 비율은 전체의 36%

2024년 말 기준 우리나라 등록장애인은 263만 1,356명으로 나타났다. 전북특별자치도 내 등록장애인은 128,993명으로 우리나라 등록장애인의 4.9%를 차지했다.

보건복지부가 지난 18일 발표한 2024년도 등록장애인 현황 통계에 따르면 우리나라 15개 장애유형별 비중은 지체장애(43.0%), 청각장애(16.8%), 시각장애(9.4%), 뇌병변장애(8.9%), 지적장애(8.9%) 순이었다.

등록장애인 중 65세 이상의 비율은 꾸준히 증가하여 55.3%(145만 5,782명)로 나타났다. 연령대별 비중은 60대(62만 1,450명, 23.6%), 70대(57만 8,655명, 22.0%), 80대(46만 1,367명, 17.5%) 순이다.

전북의 등록장애인은 128,993명으로 ‘심한 장애’ 46,557명, ‘심하지 않은 장애 82,436명’이었다.

장애유형별로는 지체장애인이 58,933명(45.7%)으로 가장 많았으며, 청각장애(21,613명, 16.8%), 지적장애(12,936명, 10%), 뇌병변장애(10,683명, 8.3%), 시각장애(10,641명, 8.3%)가 뒤를 이었다.

-Severe disabilities in physical and hearing impairments, accounting for 36% of all severe disabilities

As of the end of 2024, the number of registered disabled individuals in South Korea stood at 2,631,356. In Jeollabuk-do, the number of registered disabled individuals was 128,993, accounting for 4.9% of the total in South Korea.

According to the statistics on registered disabled individuals for 2024 released by the Ministry of Health and Welfare on the 18th, the distribution of 15 types of disabilities in South Korea was as follows: physical impairment (43.0%), hearing impairment (16.8%), visual impairment (9.4%), brain disorders (8.9%), and intellectual disabilities (8.9%).

The proportion of disabled individuals aged 65 and older steadily increased to 55.3% (1,455,782 individuals). By age group, the distribution was as follows: 60s (621,450 individuals, 23.6%), 70s (578,655 individuals, 22.0%), and 80s (461,367 individuals, 17.5%).

In Jeollabuk-do, there were 128,993 registered disabled individuals, with 46,557 classified as having 'severe disabilities' and 82,436 as having 'non-severe disabilities'.

By type of disability, the distribution in Jeollabuk-do was as follows: physical impairment was the most common with 58,933 individuals (45.7%), followed by hearing impairment (21,613 individuals, 16.8%), intellectual disabilities (12,936 individuals, 10%), brain disorders (10,683 individuals, 8.3%), and visual impairment (10,641 individuals, 8.3%).

The detailed distribution of registered disabled individuals in Jeollabuk-do by subtype is as follows:

- Physical impairment: 58,933 individuals (severe disabilities 11,374 / non-severe disabilities 47,559)
