남원시(시장 최경식)는 제95회 춘향제와 연계해 지난 2일부터 5일까지 제103회 어린이날을 맞아 다양한 어린이 문화행사를 성황리에 개최했다.

2일 춘향테마파크 사랑의 광장에서는 ‘춘향사랑 그림그리기·백일장 대회’가 열려 남원 지역 초·중·고등학생과 학부모들이 함께 참여하며 세대 간 화합의 장을 이뤘다. 춘향과 이도령의 사랑과 춘향의 정절 정신을 현대적으로 재해석한 이번 행사는, 한복을 입은 주최 측 인사들이 과거시험을 재현하고, 다양한 체험 부스와 전시가 마련돼 참가자들에게 특별한 경험을 제공했다.

5일에는 춘향제와 함께하는 제103회 어린이날 대축제가 진행됐다. ▲서커스 공연 ▲어린이집 재능공연 ▲청소년 어울림 마당 ▲익스트림 벌룬쇼 ▲어린이 뮤지컬 갈라쇼 등 다채로운 프로그램이 펼쳐지며 가족 단위 방문객들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.

어린이날 기념식에서는 모범어린이 표창, 어린이헌장 낭독, 축사 등이 이어지며 어린이들에게 축하와 격려의 메시지를 전했다.

남원시는 이번 행사를 계기로 “어린이를 위한 복지, 교육, 놀이환경 개선에 더욱 힘쓰겠다”며, 어린이들이 행복한 도시를 만들기 위한 노력을 이어가겠다고 밝혔다. 그림그리기·백일장 대회의 수상자는 오는 9일 남원시청 홈페이지를 통해 발표된다.

The city of Namwon (Mayor Choi Kyung-sik) successfully hosted various children's cultural events in celebration of the 103rd Children's Day from the 2nd to the 5th, in conjunction with the 95th Chunhyang Festival.

On the 2nd, at the Love Square in Chunhyang Theme Park, the 'Chunhyang Love Drawing and Hundred-Day Market Contest' took place, bringing together elementary, middle, and high school students from the Namwon area along with their parents to create a harmonious atmosphere across generations. This event, which reinterpreted the love of Chunhyang and Lee Mong-ryong and the spirit of Chunhyang's faithfulness in a modern way, featured the organizers dressed in traditional Korean clothing reenacting the past, as well as various experiential booths and exhibitions providing participants with a special experience.

On the 5th, the 103rd Children's Day festival was held in conjunction with the Chunhyang Festival. Various programs such as circus performances, talent shows from kindergartens, youth gathering events, extreme balloon shows, and children's musical galas unfolded, receiving a great response from families visiting in groups.

During the Children's Day commemoration ceremony, exemplary children were awarded, the Children's Pledge was recited, speeches were given, conveying messages of congratulations and encouragement to the children.

The city of Namwon stated that following this event, they will further strive to improve welfare, education, and play environments for children, aiming to continue efforts to create a happy city for children. The winners of the drawing and market contest will be announced on the Namwon City Hall website on the 9th.
