전북교육청은 10일 도교육청 2층 강당에서 ‘2025 글로벌수학탐험대’ 해외연수에 참여하는 고등학교 2학년 학생들을 대상으로 사전교육을 실시했다.

이번 연수는 오는 5월 29일부터 6월 5일까지 미국 서부에서 진행되며, UCLA와 스탠퍼드대 교수 특강, 수학 관련 산학연 단지 방문 등 선진 수학 기술 체험이 이뤄질 예정이다.

사전교육에서는 연수 일정과 과제 안내뿐 아니라, 지난해 참가했던 선배들의 생생한 경험담이 공유돼 참가 학생들의 준비에 실질적인 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

인솔 교사들도 학생들과의 협력을 통해 안전하고 교육과정과 연계된 의미 있는 연수가 되도록 철저히 준비하고 있다.

문형심 창의인재교육과장은 “참가 학생들이 글로벌 역량을 키우는 계기가 되길 바라며, 앞으로도 이공계 진로 확대와 수학적 사고력 향상을 위한 지원을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

On the 10th, the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education held a pre-training session for high school second-year students participating in the overseas training program '2025 Global Math Expedition' at the 2nd-floor auditorium of the Provincial Office of Education.

The upcoming training program will take place in the western United States from May 29th to June 5th, featuring special lectures from professors at UCLA and Stanford University, visits to math-related industrial complexes, and advanced math skill experiences.

During the pre-training session, students were briefed on the schedule, assignments, and were able to hear firsthand experiences from seniors who participated last year, which is expected to provide practical help for the participating students' preparation.

The supervising teachers are also thoroughly preparing for a safe and meaningful training program that is closely linked to the educational curriculum through collaboration with the students.

Moon Hyeong-sim, the head of the Creative Talent Education Department, stated, "I hope that this opportunity will help students enhance their global competencies, and we will continue to provide support for expanding STEM career paths and improving mathematical thinking skills in the future."
