순창군이 (사)한국매니페스토실천본부가 주관한 ‘2025년 기초단체장 공약이행 및 정보공개평가’에서 2년 연속 최고 등급인 SA등급을 획득했다.

이번 평가에서 순창군의 공약이행률은 83.54%로, 전국 기초자치단체 평균인 53.05%를 크게 상회했으며, 이는 전북 도내 최고 수준이자 전국에서도 손꼽히는 성과다.

평가는 전국 227개 기초지자체를 대상으로 공약이행 완료, 목표달성도, 주민소통 노력, 웹소통, 공약일치도 등 5개 항목을 기준으로 홈페이지 공개 자료를 모니터링해 진행됐다.

순창군은 민선 8기 출범 이후 ‘군민 모두가 행복한 순창’을 비전으로 5개 분야 79개 공약을 추진 중이며, 현재까지 53개를 완료하고 26개는 정상 추진 중이다. 군은 연말까지 7개 사업을 추가 완료하는 것을 목표로 이행 속도를 높일 방침이다.

최영일 순창군수는 “군민과의 약속을 지키기 위해 초심을 잃지 않고 최선을 다하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 군은 공약 실천교육과 분기별 점검 공개 등 공약 이행의 내실을 위한 노력을 지속하고 있다.

Suncheon County obtained the highest grade of SA for two consecutive years in the '2025 Local Government Chief's Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation' organized by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.

In this evaluation, Suncheon County's pledge fulfillment rate was 83.54%, significantly surpassing the national average of 53.05% for local governments and marking it as the highest level in Jeollabuk-do Province and a notable achievement nationwide.

The evaluation monitored website public data based on five criteria including pledge completion, goal achievement, efforts in resident communication, web communication, and pledge alignment, targeting 227 local governments nationwide.

Since the inauguration of the 8th local administration, Suncheon County has been pursuing 79 pledges across five areas under the vision of 'Suncheon where all residents are happy,' with 53 completed and 26 in normal progress. The county aims to accelerate the pace of implementation by completing seven additional projects by the end of the year.

Suncheon County Mayor Choi Young-il expressed his determination, saying, "I will do my best without losing my initial intentions to keep the promises with the residents." The county continues its efforts for substantial pledge fulfillment through activities like manifesto practice education and quarterly public inspections.
