(재)전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)이 전주시민을 대상으로 전통 한지의 역사와 가치를 직접 체험할 수 있는 문화기행 프로그램 ‘전국팔도 한지기행’2회차를 운영한다.

이번 프로그램은 전주천년한지관이 주관하며, 지난 4월 대전시립박물관 방문을 시작으로 추진된 연속 기획으로, 한지의 문화적 가치와 현대적 활용을 탐구하는 교육형 당일치기 여정이다.

2회차는 6월 19일, 전주에서 출발해 서울을 방문하는 일정으로 진행된다.

참가자들은 먼저, 한지문화 교류와 지원을 목적으로 설립된 한지문화홍보관 ‘한지가헌’에 방문해 전국 전통한지 공방과 다양한 지종(紙種 : 종이의 종류)을 소개하는 전시를 관람한다. 이곳에서 한지의 예술성과 실용적 가치를 조망할 전망이다.

이후에는 한국 최초의 공립 공예 전문 박물관인 서울공예박물관을 방문해 전통 공예품과 한지유물을 감상하며, 한지의 문화사적 의미 등 한지에 대해 보다 깊은 이해의 시간을 가질 계획이다.

이번 기행의 참가 신청은 전주천년한지관 누리집(jmhm.kr)에서 가능하며, 참가비는 교통비와 입장료 등을 모두 포함해 1인당 2만원으로 책정했다. 자세한 사항은 전주천년한지관 사업 담당자에게 전화(063-281-1635)로 문의하면 된다.

최락기 전주문화재단 대표이사는 “한지는 전주의 정체성을 담고 있는 소중한 문화 자산”이라며, “이번 한지기행을 통해 시민들이 한지의 역사와 가치를 직접 보고 느끼며 일상 속에서 전통문화를 더욱 가깝게 경험하는 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.

재단은 이번 ‘전국팔도 한지기행’을 통해 전통과 현대가 공존하는 한지문화 탐방을 확산하고, 한지에 대한 시민들의 이해와 관심을 더욱 높이는 데 기여해 나간다는 복안이다.

The Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation (Representative Director Choi Rak-gi) is operating the cultural journey program 'Nationwide Paldo Hanji Journey' for Jeonju citizens to directly experience the history and value of traditional hanji.

This program, organized by the Jeonju Millennium Hanji Museum, is a series of educational day trips that explore the cultural value and modern usage of hanji, starting with a visit to the Daejeon Municipal Museum in April.

The second round will take place on June 19, departing from Jeonju and visiting Seoul. Participants will first visit the Hanjigahyeon, a hanji culture promotion center established for hanji cultural exchange and support, to view an exhibition introducing traditional hanji workshops and various types of paper. It is an opportunity to appreciate the artistic and practical value of hanji.

Next, they will visit the Seoul Museum of Craft Art, the first public craft museum in Korea, to admire traditional crafts and hanji artifacts, gaining a deeper understanding of hanji's cultural significance.

Choi Rak-gi, the representative director of the Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation, stated, "Hanji is a precious cultural asset that embodies the identity of Jeonju," and expressed hope that "through this Hanji journey, citizens will have the opportunity to directly see and feel the history and value of hanji, experiencing traditional culture more closely in their daily lives."

The foundation aims to expand exploration of hanji culture, where tradition and modernity coexist, through this 'Nationwide Paldo Hanji Journey,' contributing to increasing citizens' understanding and interest in hanji.
