관객이 함께 만들어 가는 영화 축제를 표방하여 2018년부터 남포동에서 개최되어온 부산국제영화제 속 또 하나의 영화제, 커뮤니티비프가 ‘리퀘스트시네마: 신청하는 영화관’의 관객프로그래머를 오는 6월 8일까지 모집한다. ‘리퀘스트시네마: 신청하는 영화관’은 관객이 직접 부산국제영화제의 프로그래머가 되어 영화제를 기획하고 운영 과정에 함께하는 커뮤니티비프의 대표 관객 참여 프로그램이다.

특히 올해 리퀘스트시네마는 부산국제영화제 30회를 기념해, 역대 BIFF 상영작 중 많은 관객의 지지를 받은 영화를 가려내 프로그램을 진행한다는 점에서 기대를 모은다. 더불어 관객프로그래머의 아이디어 개발과 참여자 간의 소통을 돕기 위해 온라인 커뮤니티 ‘아이디어 노트’가 새로 마련되었으며, 공연 제작비 추가 지원을 통해 보다 다채로운 현장 이벤트 기획도 가능해졌다.

커뮤니티비프 조원희 운영위원장은 “30회를 맞이한 부산국제영화제를 기념해 올해의 리퀘스트시네마는 역대 상영작들로 구성한다”며 “남포동 극장가의 전성기와 수영만 요트경기장의 장관으로부터 시작해, 아시아 최고의 영화제로 성장한 부산국제영화제의 눈부신 시간을 함께한 초대 손님들과의 만남을 기약한다”라고 전했다.

Busan International Film Festival, which has been held in Nampo-dong since 2018, is recruiting audience programmers for another film festival within the festival, Community B-PROF, which advocates for a film festival created together by the audience. The recruitment will be open until June 8th for the "Request Cinema: Requesting Movie Theaters" program. "Request Cinema: Requesting Movie Theaters" is a representative audience participation program of Community B-PROF, where the audience becomes programmers of the Busan International Film Festival, planning and participating in the operation process.

In particular, this year's Request Cinema is drawing attention as it will select films that have received significant support from the audience among the past BIFF screenings to commemorate the 30th Busan International Film Festival. Additionally, to facilitate the development of ideas by audience programmers and communication among participants, an online community called 'Idea Note' has been newly established, and through additional support for production costs, it is now possible to plan more diverse on-site events.

Jo Won-hee, the director of Community B-PROF, stated, "To commemorate the 30th Busan International Film Festival, this year's Request Cinema will be composed of past screening works," and expressed his anticipation for the dazzling time of the Busan International Film Festival, which has grown from the heyday of Nampo-dong theaters and the splendor of the Suyeongman Yacht Race Course to become Asia's premier film festival, and looks forward to meeting the invited guests who have shared this journey.
