전북특별자치도립국악원(원장/유영대, 이하 국악원)은 오는 29일에 한국소리문화의전당 명인홀에서 2025 상반기 <목요상설 가·무·악> 5회차‘춤, 맞닿는 여정’을 개최한다.

이번 공연은 무용단 주축의 상설공연으로 진행된다. 전통을 바탕으로 창작을 아우르는 다채로운 프로그램을 선보여 한국무용이 가진 고유의 미(美)를 자랑한다.

첫 무대는‘부채춤’으로 공연의 시작을 알린다. 한국 춤의 백미라 일컬어지는 대표적인 민속춤으로, 부채를 이용하여 펴고 접으며 공간의 조형과 아름다움을 형상화한 작품이다. 우아한 한국 여인의 화려한 의상과 아름다움, 멋으로 춤을 보는 즐거움을 더해준다.

이어 창작무용‘음풍영월(吟風詠月)’이 펼쳐진다. 맑은 바람과 밝은 달을 대상으로 시를 짓고 흥취를 자아내어 즐겁게 풍류를 즐긴다는 뜻으로, 바람의 신과 음유시인이 춤과 음악으로 격돌하는 서사를 담아냈다.

세 번째 무대로 화려한 몸놀림의 신(新)전통 춤‘쌍소고춤’이 이어진다. 소고를 양손에 하나씩 들고 추는 춤으로, 섬세함과 역동성이 조화를 이루는 시각적으로도 매우 화려한 춤이다.

네 번째는 소리의 고장인 전주의 특색을 살려, 판소리 다섯 바탕을 춤으로 재창조한‘전주부채춤’이다. 산조, 남도민요, 구음살풀이 등 남도에서 발생한 음악을 바탕으로 전주 시나위 가락과 합죽선, 부안 매창의 애절한 마음과 화려한 부채춤의 춤사위가 공존한다.

다음 무대는‘흥푸리’이다. 여인의 생활소품인 손수건, 머리수건 등을 활용해 여인네의 잔잔한 흥과 신명을 녹여낸 작품이다. 강하게 응축된 신명이 절제미로 달아오른다.

여섯 번째 무대는‘태평무’이다. 나라의 평안을 위해 추었던 춤으로, 궁중정재 중 으뜸으로 꼽히는 춤이다. 동작이 섬세하고 우아하며, 격식 있는 자태가 일품이다. 특히 경기무악의 다양한 장단을 활용하여 지면을 밟아주는 발 놀음 춤은 복을 기원하는 상징적 의미를 표현하고 있다.

마지막 무대는 공연의 마지막은‘부포와 소고놀이’가 장식한다. 농악판에서 지휘자 역할을 하는 상쇠의 부포와 자유로운 놀음으로 관객에게 흥을 더하는 소고놀이가 만나 역동적인 공연을 펼쳐낸다.

The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Provincial National Gugak Center (Director Yoo Young-dae, hereinafter referred to as the Gugak Center) will be hosting the 5th performance of the 2025 first half of the series titled 'Dance, Connecting Journeys' at the Hall of Masters in the Korean Sound Culture Center on the upcoming 29th.

This performance will be led by the dance troupe as a regular performance. Showcasing a diverse program that encompasses creation based on tradition, it proudly presents the unique beauty of Korean dance.

The first stage will be announced with the 'Fan Dance'. Regarded as the essence of Korean dance, this representative folk dance uses fans to unfold and fold, shaping the space with beauty and form. It adds to the joy of watching the dance with the elegant attire and beauty of Korean women.

Following that, the creative dance 'Gimpo Yeongwol' will unfold. It portrays a narrative where the god of wind and a poet engage in a dance and music battle, creating enjoyment by composing poems about the clear wind and bright moon and reveling in pleasure.

The third stage will feature the visually stunning 'Ssangso Go Dance', a new traditional dance with elaborate body movements. This dance, performed with a small drum in each hand, harmonizes delicacy and dynamism.

The fourth stage will showcase the 'Jeonju Fan Dance', which recreates the five foundations of Pansori into a dance, highlighting the unique characteristics of Jeonju's music. It combines the emotional sentiments and the vibrant fan dance movements with the melodies of Jeonju Sinae Gayageum and Hapjukseon, and Buan Maechang.

The next stage will be 'Heungpuri', a piece that incorporates the subtle joy and liveliness of women using everyday items like handkerchiefs and headscarves. The exuberant liveliness is expressed with restraint and elegance.

The sixth stage will be 'Taepyeongmu', a dance performed to wish for the peace of the nation, considered a top dance in the royal court. The movements are delicate and elegant, with a dignified appearance. Particularly, the footwork dance, utilizing various rhythms of Gyeonggi music, expresses a symbolic wish for blessings.

The final stage will be decorated with 'Bupo and Sogo Play', where the dynamic performance is enhanced by the Bupo, who plays the role of a conductor in the Nongak ensemble, and the lively Sogo Play that adds excitement to the audience.
