이리여자고등학교(교장 성선화)는 26일 국립청소년바이오생명센터(센터장 김성학)와 생명·바이오 분야 진로 탐색 활성화 및 창의융합형 인재 육성을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 지역 청소년들에게 과학적 사고력과 진로 역량을 기를 수 있는 교육 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐으며, 양 기관은 유기적인 협력 체계 구축에 뜻을 모았다.

협약 주요 내용은 △전문 인력 및 교육·실험 시설을 활용한 진로체험 지원 △고교학점제 연계 프로그램 공동 운영 △생명공학·바이오헬스 관련 전문가 특강 등이다.

성선화 교장은 “지역 전문기관과의 연계를 통해 학생들이 스스로 진로를 설계할 수 있도록 돕고, 이리여고가 바이오 진로교육의 거점으로 성장하길 바란다”고 말했다.

Iri Girls' High School (Principal Seong Sun-hwa) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Youth Bio Life Center (Director Kim Seong-hak) on the 26th to enhance exploration of careers in the field of life sciences and bio, and foster creative and integrated talents.

This agreement was established to provide educational opportunities for local teenagers to develop scientific thinking and career capabilities, and the two institutions have pledged to build an organic cooperation system.

The key contents of the agreement include support for career experience using specialized personnel and educational/experimental facilities, joint operation of a high school credit linkage program, and special lectures by experts in biotechnology and biohealth.

Principal Seong Sun-hwa stated, "Through collaboration with local specialized institutions, we hope to help students design their own career paths, and we hope that Iri Girls' High School will grow as a hub for bio career education."
