전주기전대학 사회복지상담과(학과장 이선희)는 5일 사단법인 장애인인권연대(대표 최창현)와 장애인의 인권 보호 및 복지 증진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

협약식은 장애인인권연대가 운영하는 ‘따박카페’에서 진행됐으며, 양 기관은 지역사회 장애인의 삶의 질 향상에 함께 노력하기로 뜻을 모았다.

이번 협약을 통해 ▲장애인 인권 및 복지 관련 공동 프로그램 운영 ▲사회복지상담과 학생들의 현장실습 및 자원봉사 연계 ▲인권 교육과 캠페인 추진 등 다양한 분야에서 협력할 예정이다.

이선희 교수는 “학생들이 이론을 실제 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 좋은 기회”라며, “지역 소외계층 복지 향상을 위해 지속적으로 협력하겠다”고 말했다.

최창현 대표는 “전문 인력 양성과 함께 장애인 권익 보호를 위한 실질적 활동이 가능해질 것”이라며 기대를 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 전주기전대학이 실천 중심 교육을 강화하고, 지역 복지 네트워크 확대에 기여하는 계기가 될 전망이다.

Jeonju Technical College's Department of Social Welfare Counseling, led by department head Lee Sun-hee, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Disability Rights Alliance (represented by Choi Chang-hyun) on the 5th to protect and promote the rights and welfare of people with disabilities.

The signing ceremony took place at the 'Ddabak Cafe' operated by the Disability Rights Alliance, with both organizations pledging to work together to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in the local community.

Through this agreement, the two parties plan to collaborate in various areas, including operating joint programs related to disability rights and welfare, coordinating field placements and volunteer work for social welfare counseling students, and promoting human rights education and campaigns.

Professor Lee Sun-hee stated, "This is a great opportunity for students to apply theory in real-life settings," adding, "We will continue to cooperate to enhance the welfare of marginalized groups in the community."

CEO Choi Chang-hyun expressed optimism, saying, "With the training of professionals and practical activities for protecting the rights of people with disabilities, we expect significant progress."

This agreement is expected to strengthen Jeonju Technical College's focus on practical education and contribute to expanding the local welfare network.
