전북특별자치도가 전주대학교와 호원대학교의 글로컬대학 본지정을 위한 지원에 본격 나섰다.

도는 18일 도청 중회의실에서 ‘도-시군-대학 협력회의’를 열고, 본지정 추진을 위한 실질적 협력 방안을 논의했다. 회의에는 김종훈 경제부지사를 비롯해 전주대·호원대 관계자, 전주시·군산시, 도청 관련 부서 담당자들이 참석했다.

이날 회의에서는 ▲본지정 실행계획서 작성 및 지자체 지원계획 수립 ▲도 정책과 대학 혁신 방향 연계 ▲산학협력 강화 ▲지자체 재정지원 및 연계사업 발굴 등 주요 협력 과제가 중점 논의됐다.

김종훈 부지사는 “K-FOOD, K-Contents, K-Wellness 분야를 아우르는 ‘K-Life STARdium’ 캠퍼스는 전북의 문화·관광·식품·뷰티산업과 연계된 전략 사업”이라며 “도는 시군과 협력해 전북형 글로컬대학 모델 정착을 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

전북도는 앞으로 실행계획서 작성, 산학연 협약 체결, 예산 협의 등을 단계적으로 추진하며, 본지정 평가 대응에 만전을 기할 방침이다.

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province has actively started supporting the establishment of local universities for Jeonju University and Howon University.

On the 18th, the province held a 'Province-City-University Cooperation Conference' at the provincial office building to discuss practical cooperation measures for the establishment of local universities. The meeting was attended by Kim Jong-hoon, the Deputy Governor of the Economic Department, officials from Jeonju University and Howon University, as well as officials from Jeonju City, Gunsan City, and relevant departments of the provincial office.

During the meeting, key cooperation tasks such as drafting an execution plan for the establishment, establishing support plans from local governments, linking provincial policies with university innovation directions, strengthening industry-academia cooperation, and exploring local financial support and collaborative projects were discussed.

Deputy Governor Kim Jong-hoon stated, "The 'K-Life STARdium' campus, encompassing K-FOOD, K-Contents, and K-Wellness fields, is a strategic project linked to Jeonbuk's culture, tourism, food, and beauty industries," and expressed, "The province will actively support the establishment of a Jeonbuk-style local university model in cooperation with cities and counties."

Jeonbuk Province plans to gradually proceed with tasks such as drafting an execution plan, signing industry-academia agreements, budget discussions, and will make full preparations to respond to the evaluation of the establishment.
