군산시는 20일 시민참여 예산제도에 대한 이해를 높이고 참여를 활성화하기 위한 ‘2025년도 시민참여 예산학교’를 개최했다.

이번 교육은 나라살림연구소 송윤정 책임연구원이 강사로 나서, 지방재정의 이해, 시민참여 예산제도 운영 방식, 우수사례 공유 및 사업제안서 작성 방법 등을 중심으로 진행됐다. 교육에는 시민참여예산위원회 및 읍면동 지역위원회 위원, 공무원 등 200여 명이 참석했다.

시는 “지난해 제안된 사업들이 순조롭게 추진 중이며, 올해도 시민의 관심과 참여를 통해 다양한 사업이 예산에 반영될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 2026년도 군산시 시민참여예산 규모는 23억5천만 원이며, 7월 4일까지 예산 제안사업 공모를 접수한다. 참여를 원하는 시민은 군산시청, 읍면동 행정복지센터, 시 누리집 또는 주민e참여 플랫폼을 통해 신청할 수 있다.

On the 20th, Gunsan City held the "2025 Citizen Participation Budget School" to enhance understanding of citizen participation budget systems and activate participation.

The education session was led by Song Yoon-jeong, a responsible researcher at the National Livelihood Research Institute, focusing on understanding local finance, operating methods of citizen participation budget systems, sharing of excellent cases, and how to write project proposals. Around 200 participants, including members of the Citizen Participation Budget Committee and district committees, as well as government officials, attended the education session.

The city stated, "Projects proposed last year are progressing smoothly, and this year, we will make efforts to reflect various projects in the budget through citizens' interest and participation."

Meanwhile, the size of the Gunsan City Citizen Participation Budget for 2026 is 2.35 billion won, and applications for budget proposal projects will be accepted until July 4th. Citizens who wish to participate can apply through Gunsan City Hall, district administrative welfare centers, the city's online portal, or the resident e-participation platform.
