순창군이 어르신들의 건강한 노후를 위해 ‘찾아가는 치매 인식 개선 교육’을 실시한다.

군 치매안심센터는 오는 6월 25일부터 7월 18일까지 순창시니어클럽과 협력해 지역 11개 읍·면을 순회하며 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업 참여자 3,140명을 대상으로 치매 교육과 예방 체조 프로그램을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 복흥면을 시작으로 순창읍까지 총 15회에 걸쳐 체육관 및 복지센터 등에서 진행되며, 치매에 대한 부정적 인식을 줄이고 조기 검진과 예방의 중요성을 알리는 데 중점을 두고 있다.

이론 강의와 함께 치매 예방 체조를 병행하는 참여형 교육으로 구성돼 어르신들이 직접 체험하고 이해도를 높일 수 있도록 했다.

군 관계자는 “치매에 대한 올바른 인식 확산이 지역사회 전체의 과제”라며 “순창이 치매 걱정 없는 안심 공동체가 될 수 있도록 지속적인 교육을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Suncheon County is conducting 'outreach dementia awareness improvement education' for the healthy aging of the elderly.

The county's Dementia Relief Center announced that they will be operating dementia education and prevention exercise programs for 3,140 participants of the elderly job and social activity support project in 11 towns and townships in collaboration with Suncheon Senior Club from June 25 to July 18.

Starting from Bokheung-myeon to Suncheon-eup, the education will be held a total of 15 times at gymnasiums and welfare centers, focusing on reducing negative perceptions of dementia and emphasizing the importance of early screening and prevention.

The education is designed as a participatory form with dementia prevention exercises alongside theoretical lectures, allowing the elderly to experience and increase their understanding.

An official from the county stated, "Spreading the correct awareness about dementia is a task for the entire local community," and expressed, "We will continue with ongoing education to make Suncheon a worry-free community for dementia."
