전북특별자치도소방본부는 26일 열린 ‘2025년도 상황관리 우수사례 경진대회’에서 119종합상황실 소속 서승연 소방교가 소방청장상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 전국 소방기관의 우수 사례를 공유하고 재난 상황관리 역량을 높이기 위해 마련됐다. 서 소방교는 지난해 7월 완주군 운주면 일대 집중호우 당시 위성자료·기상정보 분석, 드론 활용, 고립 주민 구조 등 ICT 기반 대응 사례를 발표해 높은 평가를 받았다.

심사위원단은 “신속한 상황 판단과 유기적 협업, 기술 활용이 우수했다”고 평가했으며, 서 소방교는 “도민의 생명을 지킨다는 사명감으로 임했다”며 수상의 소감을 전했다.

이오숙 본부장은 “이번 수상은 전북소방의 전문성과 헌신이 인정받은 결과”라며, “사례를 타 부서와 공유하고 교육에 반영해 재난 대응 체계를 더욱 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Fire Headquarters announced that firefighter Seo Seung-yeon, belonging to the 119 Integrated Situation Room, won the Fire Commissioner's Award at the '2025 Situation Management Best Practices Competition' held on the 26th.

This competition was organized to share excellent cases from fire departments nationwide and enhance disaster situation management capabilities. Firefighter Seo presented a case of ICT-based response including satellite data analysis, weather information analysis, drone utilization, and rescue of isolated residents during heavy rainfall in the Unju-myeon area of Wanju County in July last year, receiving high praise.

The judging panel evaluated, "The quick situation assessment, organic collaboration, and technological utilization were excellent." Seo expressed his feelings of winning by saying, "I approached this with a sense of mission to save the lives of the residents."

Director Lee Oh-sook stated, "This award recognizes the professionalism and dedication of the Jeonbuk Fire Department," and added, "We will share this case with other departments, incorporate it into training, and further strengthen the disaster response system."
