(재)전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기) 팔복예술공장 창작스튜디오 입주 작가들이 참여한 레지던시 연합교류전 《NOWHERE(Nowhere, Now Here)-어디에도 없지만, 지금 이곳》이 4일부터 8월 31일까지 대구예술발전소에서 열린다.

이번 전시는 전국 9개 지역, 10개 레지던시 기관, 국내외 예술인 74명이 참여하는 역대 최대 규모의 연합 교류전으로 주목받고 있다.

참여 기관들은 지역과 장르, 국경을 넘어 다양한 예술적 담론을 공유하며 창작의 확장을 도모하고 있다.

참여 기관은 ▲팔복예술공장(전주) ▲국립현대미술관 창동레지던시(서울) ▲수원아트스튜디오 푸른지대 창작샘터(수원) ▲화이트블럭 천안창작촌(천안) ▲이응노의집 창작스튜디오(홍성) ▲청주미술창작스튜디오(청주) ▲대구예술발전소 ▲달천예술창작공간(대구) ▲북구예술창작소(울산) ▲호랑가시나무 창작소(광주) 등 총 10곳이다.

팔복예술공장 창작스튜디오에서는 8기 입주작가 김원, 박경진, 박성은, 양은경, 용하현, 장시재, 전지홍 등 7인이 29점의 작품을 선보이며, 팔복의 창작 역량을 전국 무대에 알릴 예정이다.

특히 이번 전시는 ▲정체성과 자아 ▲물성과 수행성 ▲공간과 경계 ▲일상 ▲기억과 서사 ▲테크놀로지와 가상성 ▲생태와 지속가능성 ▲사회적 참여와 공공성 등 총 8개 섹션으로 구성돼, 현대 미술의 주요 화두를 다각도로 조명할 전망이다.

최락기 전주문화재단 대표이사는 “앞으로도 팔복 창작스튜디오 입주 작가들이 작품을 발표하고 다양한 활동에 참여할 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”며
“지역 간 협력과 교류를 통해 예술가들의 전문 역량을 한층 더 확장해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

The residency exchange exhibition "NOWHERE (Nowhere, Now Here) - Nowhere, but Here Now" participated by artists in residence at Palbok Art Factory Creative Studio, under the (re)Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi), will be held at Daegu Art Development Center from August 4 to 31.

This exhibition is drawing attention as the largest-ever collaborative exchange exhibition with the participation of 74 artists from 10 residency organizations in 9 regions nationwide and internationally.

The participating organizations are aiming to promote the expansion of creativity by sharing diverse artistic discourses across regions, genres, and borders.

The participating organizations include Palbok Art Factory (Jeonju), National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Changdong Residency (Seoul), Suwon Art Studio Blue Earth Creative Center (Suwon), White Block Cheonan Creative Village (Cheonan), Lee Ungno House Creative Studio (Hongseong), Cheongju Art Studio (Cheongju), Daegu Art Development Center, Dalcheon Art Studio (Daegu), Bukgu Art Studio (Ulsan), and Horang Gasinamu Creative Studio (Gwangju).

At Palbok Art Factory Creative Studio, 8 resident artists including Kim Won, Park Kyung-jin, Park Sung-eun, Yang Eun-kyung, Yong Ha-hyun, Jang Si-jae, and Jeon Ji-hong will showcase 29 pieces, aiming to introduce Palbok's creative capabilities on a national stage.

In particular, this exhibition is structured into 8 sections: Identity and Self, Materiality and Performance, Space and Boundaries, Everyday Life, Memory and Narrative, Technology and Virtuality, Ecology and Sustainability, Social Participation and Publicness, shedding light on the major topics of contemporary art from various perspectives.

Choi Rak-gi, CEO of the (re)Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation, stated, "We will continue to support the resident artists at Palbok Creative Studio to present their works and participate in various activities," adding, "We will further expand the professional capabilities of artists through cooperation and exchange between regions."
