-완주 운주용계산성 물놀이장에서 160명 참가, 안전하게 마무리

장애아동과 가족들이 오롯이 즐길 수 있는 여름 물놀이 행사가 지난 7월 5일 완주군 운주용계산성 물놀이장에서 열렸다.

이날 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 진행된 『물놀이 퐁당퐁당』 프로그램은 사단법인 장애인인권연대가 위탁 운영하는 장애아가족양육지원사업단이 마련했다.

이번 행사는 사전 공모를 통해 선정된 40가정, 총 160명의 장애인 가족이 참여했으며, 비장애인 없이 장애 당사자와 가족들만으로 구성되어 오롯한 휴식과 여가 시간을 보낼 수 있는 특별한 자리였다.

현장에는 자원봉사자 35명이 함께해 식사, 이동, 물놀이 지원 등 다양한 활동을 도왔으며, 단 한 건의 안전사고 없이 행사가 성공적으로 마무리됐다. 참여 가족들은 “오랜만에 편안한 마음으로 아이들과 웃고 떠들며 보낸 하루였다”며 큰 만족감을 드러냈다.

장애인인권연대 관계자는 “내년에는 자원봉사자를 더 많이 모집해 올해보다 두 배 이상 많은 장애인 가족들이 시끌벅적하게 물놀이를 즐길 수 있도록 준비하겠다”고 밝혔다.

- 160 people participate safely in water play event at Wanju Unju-yonggyesansung

A summer water play event exclusively for children with disabilities and their families took place on July 5th at the Wanju Unju-yonggyesansung water park.

The "Splish Splash Water Play" program, held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on that day, was organized by the Disability Family Care Support Team, operated by the nonprofit organization Disability Rights Alliance.

This event, which was attended by a total of 160 members from 40 families selected through a prior public recruitment, was a special occasion where only individuals with disabilities and their families, without non-disabled individuals, could enjoy a peaceful and leisurely time.

On-site, 35 volunteers assisted in various activities such as meals, transportation, and water play support, and the event concluded successfully without a single safety incident. Participating families expressed great satisfaction, saying, "It was a day spent laughing and playing with our children in a relaxed manner after a long time."

A representative from the Disability Rights Alliance stated, "Next year, we will recruit more volunteers, and we will prepare for more than twice as many families with disabilities to enjoy water play in a lively manner than this year."
