전북교육청이 특수교육대상학생의 진로와 진학을 지원하기 위해 ‘2026학년도 특수학교 전공과 및 대학 입학 설명회’를 16일 전주 치명자산성지 평화의 전당에서 개최했다.

이번 설명회는 도내 특수교육대상자와 학부모, 교사 등 180여 명이 참석했으며, 원거리 거주자 등을 위한 온라인(ZOOM) 참여도 병행됐다.

전북교육청이 특수교육 강화를 주요 정책으로 추진하는 가운데, 올해 처음 열린 이번 설명회에서는 전공과 입학 전형 안내(전주선화학교 권보미 교사 발표)와 장애인 특별전형 진학 전략(김성일 사회적기업 대표 강의) 등이 진행됐다.

참석자들은 실질적인 정보와 상담을 통해 진로 설계에 도움을 받았으며, 도교육청은 앞으로도 맞춤형 진로‧진학 지원을 확대할 계획이다.

김윤범 유초등특수교육과장은 “이번 설명회는 실질적인 정보를 제공한 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 “장애학생과 학부모가 진로를 설계할 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education held a '2026 Special School Major and University Admission Information Session' on the 16th at the Peace Hall of Chimeunsanseong in Jeonju to support the career paths and admissions of students with special needs.

The event was attended by about 180 special education students, parents, and teachers from the province, and online participation via Zoom was also available for long-distance residents.

As the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education is actively promoting the enhancement of special education as a key policy, this year's inaugural information session included presentations on major and admission procedures (presented by Teacher Kwon Bo-mi from Jeonju Sunhwa School) and strategies for special admissions for people with disabilities (lecture by Kim Sung-il, CEO of a social enterprise).

Participants received practical information and counseling to help with career planning, and the provincial education office plans to further expand tailored career and academic support in the future.

Kim Yoon-beom, head of the Special Education Department for Elementary Schools, stated, "This information session provided meaningful insights by offering practical information," and expressed, "We will continue to provide ongoing support for students with disabilities and their parents in designing their career paths."
