전주세계소리축제조직위원회(이하 소리축제, 조직위원장 이왕준)가 오는 8월 13일부터 17일까지 한국소리문화의전당 및 전북특별자치도 일원에서 펼쳐진다. 전통음악과 월드뮤직을 중심으로 다양한 장르의 음악과 공연을 만날 수 있는 닷새간의 음악 향연이 기다리고 있다. 특히, 창작과 실험을 통해 동시대 우리 음악의 새로운 전통을 만들어 가는 예술가들과 공연을 비롯해 한국형 클래식까지 만날 수 있다.

￭ 이날치, 서도밴드, 송소희 등 동시대 우리 음악의 대표 주자들이 한자리에
소리축제는 전통의 오롯함을 보여줄 수 있는 음악을 선보임과 동시에 다른 한 축으로는 전통 음악을 기반으로 현시대를 반영하고 창작과 실험을 통해 새로운 음악적 시도를 하는 예술가들과 음악들을 무대에 올리고 있다. 올해도 다양한 예술가들이 다채로운 음악으로 소리축제 무대에 오를 준비하고 있으니 기대해보길 바란다. 이 공연들은 한국소리문화의전당 놀이마당에서 만날 수 있다.
15일 오후 7시 30분에는 관악 기악 앙상블 <피리밴드 저클>이 향피리, 저피리, 태평소 등 전통 관악기의 매력을 호기롭고 익살스럽게 저클만의 음악으로 선보인다. 이어 저녁 9시 30분에는 얼터너티브 팝 밴드 <이날치>가 <범 내려온다>, <호랑이 뒷다리> 등 정규 1집 <수궁가>를 중심으로 다양한 레퍼토리의 음악으로 함께 춤추고 즐길 수 있는 자리를 선사한다.
16일 저녁 9시 30분에는 전통 음악과 팝 스타일을 버무려 감각적인 퓨전으로 빚어내는 <서도밴드>가 자신들이 지향하는 음악 조선팝으로 젊고 독특한 에너지를 전한다.
17일 저녁 8시 30분에는 현대음악 싱어송라이터 <송소희>를 만날 수 있다. 전통 음악의 범주 안에서 꾸준히 내공을 쌓으며 본인만의 음악을 구축해 오고 있는 그녀의 확장된 음악 세계를 만날 수 있는 시간이 되겠다.

￭ 마티네 공연 <전주의 아침>, 다양한 방식으로 시도하는 우리 음악
<전주의 아침>은 소리축제의 대표 마티네 공연이다. 올해는 전통과 현대를 잇는 음악적 시도로 자신만의 독보적인 예술세계를 확장해 나가고 있는 전통 예술가들의 멋진 연주를 고즈넉한 한옥 마루에 앉아 감상해볼 수 있다.
14일 오전 10시 30분, 완주 아원에서는 주변의 악기라 치부되었던 훈, 퉁소, 생황에 산조라는 생명을 불어넣은 세 악기의 새 산조 <훈, 퉁소, 생황산조> 무대가 열린다. 훈 산조에 송경근, 퉁소산조에 김동근, 생황 산조에 김효영이 연주를 선사한다.
15일부터 17일까지 매일 오전 10시 30분에는 인재고택 학인당에서 <전주의 아침>이 펼쳐진다. 15일 <김일구류 바이올린 산조> 공연에서는 김일구 명인 수하에서 아쟁산조를 공부한 바이올리니스트 박소현이 김일구류 아쟁산조를 바이올린 연주로 들려준다. 더불어 김일구류 아쟁 가야금 산조 병주도 함께 감상할 수 있다.
16일에는 <자연소 프로젝트>가 연주자 개개인의 독창성과 자유로운 연주를 존중하는 무대로 한국형 클래식 앙상블을 통해 웅장하고도 섬세하며 아름다운 연주를 선사한다.
17일에는 철현금 고유의 전통적 주법과 음색 본향의 빛깔을 엿볼 수 있는 <류경화의 철현금> 공연이 펼쳐진다. 독보적인 연주자 류경화가 풍성한 저음과 예리한 고음이 돋보이는 철현금의 매력을 전한다.

16일 오후 4시, 한국소리문화의전당 모악당에는 전북CBS와 소리축제가 공동기획한 <손열음&고잉홈프로젝트> 공연이 관객들을 기다리고 있다. 새로운 예술적 영역에 대한 도전을 아끼지 않는 피아니스트 손열음이 7년 만에 전주를 찾는다. 이번 무대는 세계 유수 오케스트라에서 활동하는 저명한 음악가들이 모여있는 고잉홈프로젝트와 손열음이 함께이면서도 각자가 빛나는 연주를 통해 감동적인 오케스트라를 선사한다.
이어 저녁 8시 30분, 놀이마당에서는 <나윤선&벵자멩 무쎄 듀오> 공연이 한 여름밤의 재즈를 선물한다. 독창적인 표현력을 가진 재즈보컬리스트 나윤선과 아름다운 피아노 연주를 선사할 프랑스 출신 벵자멩 무쎄가 함께 만난다.

On the 15th at 7:30 PM, the traditional wind ensemble "Piri Band Jeokle" will present the charm of traditional wind instruments such as Hyangpiri, Jeopiri, and Taepyeongso in a bold and playful manner. Following that, at 9:30 PM, the alternative pop band "Lee Nal-chi" will offer a place where you can dance and enjoy various repertoire of music, focusing on their first album "Sugungga," including songs like "The Tiger's Hind Legs" and "The Bear Descends."
On the 16th at 9:30 PM, the band "Seodo Band," which blends traditional music and pop style into a sophisticated fusion, will bring youthful and unique energy through their music genre called "Joseon Pop."
On the 17th at 8:30 PM, you can meet the contemporary music singer-songwriter "Song So-hee." It will be a time to explore her expanded musical world, where she has steadily built her own music within the realm of traditional music.

- Matinee performance "Morning in Jeonju," various attempts in our music
"Morning in Jeonju" is the representative matinee performance of the Sound Festival. This year, you can enjoy the wonderful performances of traditional artists who are expanding their unique artistic world by attempting music that connects tradition and modernity in a serene hanok courtyard.
On the 14th at 10:30 AM, at Wanju Awon, a new sanjo performance of three instruments, Hoon, Tungso, and Saenghwang, which breathe new life into the surrounding instruments traditionally considered as folk instruments, will be presented. Song Gyeong-geun on Hoon Sanjo, Kim Dong-geun on Tungso Sanjo, and Kim Hyo-young on Saenghwang Sanjo will deliver their performances.
From the 15th to the 17th, "Morning in Jeonju" will unfold every day at 10:30 AM at Injae Gotak Hakindang. On the 15th, in the "Kim Il-gu Style Violin Sanjo" performance, violinist Park So-hyun, who studied Ajaeng Sanjo under the master Kim Il-gu, will play Kim Il-gu's Ajaeng Sanjo on the violin. Additionally, you can also enjoy the performance of Kim Il-gu's Ajaeng Gayageum Sanjo.
On the 16th, the "Jayeonso Project" will present a magnificent and delicate, beautiful performance through a Korean-style classical ensemble stage that respects the individual creativity and free performance of each player.
On the 17th, you can witness the performance of "Ryu Gyeong-hwa's Cheolhyeongeum," where you can glimpse the unique traditional techniques and the color of the original sound of the Cheolhyeongeum. The outstanding performer Ryu Gyeong-hwa will showcase the charm of Cheolhyeongeum with rich low tones and sharp high tones.

On the 16th at 4:00 PM, the joint production of Jeollabuk-do CBS and the Sound Festival, the performance of "Son Yeol-eum & Going Home Project," awaits the audience at the Moak Hall of the Hall of Korean Sound Culture. Pianist Son Yeol-eum, who does not hesitate to challenge new artistic areas, visits Jeonju after seven years. This stage will present an emotional orchestra through the distinguished musicians from world-renowned orchestras gathered in the Going Home Project and Son Yeol-eum, each shining through their performances.
Following that, at 8:30 PM in the Play Yard, the performance of "Na Yoon-sun & Benjamen Moussay Duo" will gift the audience with a jazz-filled summer night. Jazz vocalist Na Yoon-sun with unique expressive abilities and the beautiful piano performance of French pianist Benjamen Moussay will meet on stage.
