전북특별자치도교육청은 ‘2025 우수 학생선수 해외 교육훈련 프로그램’의 일환으로 지난 28일 프랑스 파리에서 전북 학생선수들을 대상으로 다양한 문화·교육 활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

학생선수단은 파리 시민들이 이용하는 종합 스포츠 센터 ‘Centre Sportif Élisabeth’를 견학하고, 운영 방식과 체육 프로그램에 대한 설명을 들었다. 이어 세계 각국 유학생들이 생활하는 ‘파리 국제대학촌(Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris)’을 탐방하며 문화 다양성과 국제교류의 중요성을 체험했다.

이날 행사에서는 프랑스 한국교육원 김현진 원장의 K컬처 특강도 열렸다. 김 원장은 K팝, 드라마, 음식 등 한국문화의 세계적 확산과 문화적 소프트 파워의 배경에 대해 깊이 있는 강연을 펼쳤으며, 전북교육청은 김 원장에게 명예교사 위촉장을 수여했다.

특강 이후에는 다과 포럼 형식의 교류 시간이 마련돼, 학생들은 프랑스 현지에서 활동 중인 한국인들과 자연스럽게 소통하며 현지 교육 환경, 유학 문화 등에 대해 다양한 이야기를 나눴다.

강양원 전북교육청 문예체건강과장은 “학생선수들이 체육과 문화를 넘나드는 글로벌 경험을 통해 더욱 성장하길 바란다”며 “국제적 감각을 지닌 체육 인재로 자랄 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education announced that as part of the '2025 Outstanding Student Athlete Overseas Education Training Program,' various cultural and educational activities were conducted for Jeonbuk student athletes in Paris, France on the 28th.

The student athletes visited the comprehensive sports center 'Centre Sportif Élisabeth' used by Parisian citizens, where they learned about its operation and sports programs. They then explored the 'Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris,' where students from various countries live, experiencing the importance of cultural diversity and international exchange.

During the event, a special lecture on K-Culture was given by Kim Hyun-jin, the director of the Korean Education Center in France. Kim delivered a profound lecture on the global spread of Korean culture such as K-pop, dramas, and food, as well as the background of cultural soft power. The Jeonbuk Office of Education awarded Kim with an honorary teacher appointment.

Following the lecture, a networking session in the form of a forum was arranged, allowing students to interact naturally with Koreans active in France, exchanging various stories about the local education environment, study abroad culture, and more.

Kang Yang-won, the head of the Department of Arts, Physical Education, and Health at the Jeonbuk Office of Education, expressed hopes for the student athletes to further grow through global experiences transcending sports and culture. He stated, "We will continue to support them to grow into sports talents with an international sensibility."
