전북교육청이 광복 80주년을 맞아 전북 출신 독립운동가와 전북 도민들의 항일 활동을 주제로 한 교육용 영상을 제작했다고 13일 밝혔다.

영상은 초등학생도 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 어린이 캐릭터와 다양한 영상 효과를 활용해 구성됐다. 주요 인물로는 3·1운동 이후 고향에서 만세운동을 주도하고, 흑색공포단을 조직해 친일파 처단 활동을 펼친 백정기 의사가 소개된다. 백 의사는 일본 공사 암살 계획이 발각돼 옥고를 치르다 순국했다.

해당 영상은 전북미래교육연구원 유튜브 채널을 통해 시청할 수 있다.

김윤범 유초등특수교육과장은 “전북 독립 영웅들의 항일 정신을 학생들에게 알리고자 영상을 제작했다”며 “광복 80주년 기념 영상이 교육적으로 의미 있는 자료가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education announced on the 13th that they have produced an educational video on the theme of independence activists from Jeonbuk and the anti-Japanese activities of Jeonbuk residents in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation.

The video is designed with children's characters and various visual effects to make it easy for elementary school students to understand. The main figure introduced is Dr. Baek Jeong-gi, who led the Manse Movement in his hometown after the March 1st Movement, organized the Black Fear Corps, and carried out activities to eliminate pro-Japanese collaborators. Dr. Baek sacrificed his life after being captured while attempting to assassinate a Japanese consul.

The video can be viewed through the Jeonbuk Future Education Research Institute's YouTube channel.

Kim Yoon-beom, head of the Elementary Special Education Department, stated, "We produced the video to inform students about the anti-Japanese spirit of Jeonbuk's independence heroes," and expressed hope that the video commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation will be a meaningful educational resource.
