국가유산청(청장 허민)과 (재)전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)은 국가유산청 전승공예품은행의 전승자 작품을 대여해, 우리 전통기술의 아름다움과 장인정신을 알리는 ‘위대한 유산전’을 개최한다.

이번 전시는 4일부터 19일까지 한벽전시관에서 열리며, 개막식은 4일 오후 3시에 진행된다.

전시에는 전승공예품 37종 66점이 선보인다. 목공예·금속공예·섬유공예·도자공예 등 전통공예의 다양한 분야를 아우르며, 전통기술의 정수와 현대적 감각이 어우러진 공예의 품격을 한자리에서 감상할 수 있다.

‘위대한 유산전’은 장인들이 세대를 이어 전승해 온 기술과 미의식을 통해, 시간을 잇는 손의 예술과 그 속에 깃든 정신적 울림을 전한다. 전주문화재단은 이번 전시를 통해 전북 지역의 풍부한 무형유산을 널리 알리고, 공예문화의 사회적 가치 확산에 기여하고자 한다.

최락기 전주문화재단 대표이사는 “이번 전시는 전통기술이 단순히 과거의 유산이 아니라 오늘의 삶과 감각 속에서도 살아 숨 쉬는 문화임을 보여주는 자리”라며,“전통과 현대, 장인과 관람객이 예술로 만나는 뜻싶은 시간이 되길 바란다”고 전했다.

The Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Heo Min) and the Jeonju Cultural Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) will hold a special exhibition called 'Great Heritage Exhibition' to promote the beauty of our traditional techniques and craftsmanship through the works of the heirs of the National Heritage Administration's inheritance craft bank.

The exhibition will take place at the Hanbyeok Exhibition Hall from the 4th to the 19th, with the opening ceremony scheduled for 3 p.m. on the 4th.

A total of 66 pieces of 37 types of inheritance crafts will be on display, covering various fields such as woodworking, metalworking, textile crafts, and pottery, showcasing the dignity of craftsmanship that combines the essence of traditional techniques with a modern sensibility.

The 'Great Heritage Exhibition' aims to pass on the artistry of hands that connect generations through the skills and aesthetic consciousness inherited by craftsmen, conveying the spiritual resonance embedded within. The Jeonju Cultural Foundation hopes to widely promote the rich intangible heritage of Jeonbuk Province through this exhibition and contribute to the social value dissemination of craft culture.

Choi Rak-gi, CEO of the Jeonju Cultural Foundation, expressed, "This exhibition is a platform to show that traditional techniques are not just relics of the past but are living cultures that breathe within today's life and sensibilities," adding, "I hope it becomes a meaningful time where tradition and modernity, craftsmen and visitors meet through art."
