전북현대는 지난 5일 전주월드컵경기장 팬 익스피리언스 이벤트 홀에서 2025 K리그1 '우승 미디어데이'를 개최했다. 거스 포옛 감독을 포함해 주장 박진섭과 베테랑 최철순, 홍정호, 그리고 전진우, 이승우, 송범근 선수가 참석했다.

포엣 감독은 “감독으로서 1부리그 우승 트로피는 감독으로서 이룰 수 있는 큰 업적이다. 지난해 성적이 안좋았기 때문에 의미가 더 크다”며 소감을 전하며 내년 시즌 동행 여부를 묻는 질문에 “아직 전북과 계약기간은 남아있다. 내일 중요한 미팅을 구단과 갖는다. 그래서 확답은 어렵다”며 여지를 남겼다.

박진섭 선수에 대해서는 “주장으로 임명한 제 선택이 틀리지 않았다”며 “박진섭을 MVP 후보로 추천할 예정"이라며 신뢰를 보냈다.

최철순 선수는 20년 전북선수 생활 가운데 가장 인상적인 인물로 최강희 감독, 이동국 선수, 조재진 선수를 꼽았다.

그는 "최강희 감독은 전북의 기조와 틀을 만든 분이고 이동국 형은 팀의 문화를 만들었다"고 설명하면서 ”조재진 선수는 마케팅적으로도 팀에 큰 효과를 주었다“고 이유를 밝혔다.

On the 5th, Jeonbuk Hyundai held the 2025 K League 1 'Championship Media Day' at the Fan Experience Hall in Jeonju World Cup Stadium. Head coach Poh Yeont, captain Park Jin-seop, veterans Choi Cheol-soon, Hong Jeong-ho, as well as Jeon Jin-woo, Lee Seung-woo, and Song Beom-geun players attended the event.

Coach Poh Yeont expressed, "As a coach, winning the K League 1 trophy is a significant achievement. It holds greater meaning due to our poor performance last year." When asked about his plans for next season, he replied, "I still have a contract with Jeonbuk. I have an important meeting with the club tomorrow, so it's hard to give a definite answer."

Regarding player Park Jin-seop, he stated, "Appointing him as captain was the right choice. I plan to recommend Park Jin-seop as an MVP candidate," showing his trust in the player.

Choi Cheol-soon, reflecting on his 20-year career at Jeonbuk, mentioned the most impressive figures as coach Choi Kang-hee, player Lee Dong-guk, and player Cho Jae-jin.

He explained, "Coach Choi Kang-hee set the tone and framework for Jeonbuk, while Lee Dong-guk created the team's culture." He also pointed out, "Player Cho Jae-jin had a significant marketing impact on the team," providing reasons for his choices.
