전주교육대학교(총장 박병춘)가 오는 19일 제9대 총장임용후보자 선거를 실시한다.

총장 후보로는 미술교육과 장지성 교수와 초등교육과 박종필 교수가 등록을 마쳤으며, 12일 합동연설회 및 공개토론회를 거쳐 본격적인 선거 절차에 돌입한다.

투표는 교원, 직원(조교 포함), 학생이 참여하며, 반영 비율은 교원 72%, 직원 17.5%, 학생 10.5%로 구성된다. 선거 결과에 따라 1·2순위 후보자가 결정되며, 전주교대는 이를 교육부에 추천하고, 대통령이 최종 1명을 임명하게 된다.

박병춘 총장은 “전주교대의 미래를 이끌 새로운 리더가 현명하게 선택되길 바란다”며 구성원들의 관심을 당부했다.

As candidates for the presidency, Professor Jang Ji-seong from the Department of Art Education and Professor Park Jong-pil from the Department of Elementary Education have completed their registrations. Following a joint presentation and public debate on the 12th, the formal election process will begin.

The voting will involve teachers, staff (including teaching assistants), and students, with a composition of 72% teachers, 17.5% staff, and 10.5% students. Based on the election results, the top two candidates will be determined, and Jeonju National University of Education will recommend them to the Ministry of Education, with the final appointment made by the President.

President Park Byeong-chun expressed his hope that "a new leader who will wisely lead the future of Jeonju National University of Education will be chosen" and urged the members to show interest in the election.
