전북특별자치도는 19일 전북혁신도시 공공기관 인권경영협의체 임직원들과 함께 ‘전북지역 인권역사현장 탐방’을 실시했다.

이번 탐방은 인권역사 기념화 사업의 일환으로 진행된 것으로, 전북지역 인권운동의 역사적 의미를 되새기고 도민의 인권 감수성을 높여 인권도시 전북의 위상을 강화하는 데 목적을 두고 추진됐다. 전북도는 2024년부터 도민 대상 인권역사현장 탐방 프로그램을 운영해 왔으며, 올해 처음으로 혁신도시 공공기관 임직원으로 참여 대상을 확대했다.

전북혁신도시 공공기관 인권경영협의체는 2019년 출범 이후 인권존중문화 확산 캠페인 등 다양한 활동을 이어오며 지역사회 인권 보호와 증진에 기여해 왔다.

올해 탐방은 ‘전북지역의 한국전쟁과 평화길’을 주제로 운영되었으며, 참가자들은 전북 인권 역사의 주요 현장을 직접 둘러보며 평화와 인권의 가치를 되새기는 체험형 교육을 받았다. 전북도는 이번 프로그램을 통해 공공기관 임직원의 인권 의식 제고와 지역사회 인권경영 확산에 의미 있는 성과가 있을 것으로 평가했다.

On the 19th, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province conducted a 'Jeonbuk Region Human Rights History Site Exploration' with employees of the Jeonbuk Innovation City public institutions' Human Rights Management Council.

This exploration was carried out as part of the human rights history commemoration project, aiming to revisit the historical significance of human rights movements in the Jeonbuk region, raise the human rights sensitivity of residents, and enhance the status of Jeonbuk as a human rights city. Jeonbuk Province has been operating a human rights history site exploration program for residents since 2024, and for the first time this year, expanded the participation to include employees of the innovation city public institutions.

Since its establishment in 2019, the Human Rights Management Council of the Jeonbuk Innovation City public institutions has been contributing to the protection and promotion of human rights in the local community through various activities such as campaigns to spread a culture of respecting human rights.

This year's exploration was operated under the theme of 'Korean War and the Path to Peace in Jeonbuk Region', where participants directly visited key sites of human rights history in Jeonbuk, engaging in experiential education to reflect on the values of peace and human rights. Jeonbuk Province evaluated that this program will have significant outcomes in enhancing the human rights awareness of public institution employees and spreading human rights management in the local community.
