(재)전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)은 2025 예술인지원사업의 일곱 번째이자 올해 마지막 기획전시로 한국청각장애인미술협회(한국청미회) 제31회 정기전을 오는 2일부터 7일까지 한국전통문화전당 3층 기획전시실에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 전시는 지역 예술인·단체와 청년 창작자의 활동을 지원하고 시민에게 폭넓은 예술 향유 기회를 제공하기 위해 추진되는 예술인지원사업의 일환이다. 선정된 단체와 작가에게는 전시실 무상 대관, 현수막·X배너·포스터·리플릿 제작, 언론홍보 등 다양한 지원이 제공된다.

31회를 맞은 한국청미회전은 청각장애인 예술가들이 시각적 감각을 기반으로 확장해온 예술 역량을 보여주는 자리다. 한국 작가 29명과 일본 작가 6명 등 총 35명의 작가가 참여해 서로 다른 감성과 표현 세계를 선보인다.

오프닝 행사는 12월 4일 오후 4시, 한국전통문화전당 3층 기획전시실에서 진행되며, 협회 관계자와 지역 문화예술 인사들이 참석해 전시의 시작을 함께할 예정이다.
전시장에는 △이봉화 협회장의 ‘능소화 연가’(한지에 채색) △이소라 작가의 ‘숲의 요정’(유화) △홍석민 작가의 ‘pleasant flow 2’(디지털 프린팅) 등 다양한 장르의 작품이 전시된다.

또한 일본 작가 야하타 요시코의 ‘무지개 띠’, 나카세 토모히로의 ‘단풍 가미코치’ 등 해외 작가의 작품도 함께 감상할 수 있다.

이봉화 한국청각장애인미술협회 회장은 “청각장애인은 한 감각의 결핍을 다른 감각으로 전이해 더 깊은 감성과 표현력을 발휘한다”며 “이번 전시를 통해 장애·비장애의 구분을 넘어 예술의 본질을 함께 느껴보길 바란다”고 관람을 독려했다.

The Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation (Representative Director Choi Rak-gi) announced that the 31st regular exhibition of the Korean Association of Deaf Artists (Korean Deaf Artists Association) will be held as the seventh and final planned exhibition of the 2025 Artist Support Program from the 2nd to the 7th at the 3rd floor exhibition hall of the Korean Traditional Culture Center.

This exhibition is part of the Artist Support Program aimed at supporting the activities of local artists and organizations, as well as young creators, and providing the public with a wide range of opportunities to appreciate art. Selected organizations and artists will receive various support such as free use of the exhibition hall, production of banners, X-banners, posters, leaflets, and media promotion.

The 31st Korean Deaf Artists Association exhibition showcases the artistic abilities that deaf artists have developed based on their visual senses. A total of 35 artists, including 29 Korean and 6 Japanese artists, will present their different emotions and expressive worlds.

The opening event will take place on December 4th at 4 p.m. at the 3rd floor exhibition hall of the Korean Traditional Culture Center, with association officials and local cultural and arts figures attending to mark the beginning of the exhibition. The exhibition will feature works in various genres, such as Lee Bong-hwa's "Neungsohwa Yeonga" (coloring on traditional Korean paper), Lee Sora's "Forest Fairy" (oil painting), and Hong Seok-min's "pleasant flow 2" (digital printing).

Additionally, visitors can also enjoy works by Japanese artists such as Yahata Yoshiko's "Rainbow Belt" and Nakase Tomohiro's "Maple Kamikochi."

Lee Bong-hwa, the president of the Korean Association of Deaf Artists, expressed, "Deaf individuals compensate for the lack of one sense with another, showcasing deeper emotions and expressions," and encouraged visitors to "experience the essence of art together beyond the distinction between disabilities and abilities" through this exhibition.
