전주 한옥마을을 넘어 서학동의 문화예술 자원을 조명하는 로컬 체류형 프로그램 ‘서학달빛소리여행’이 28~29일과 12월 5~6일 두 차례에 걸쳐 열린다.

전주 시외권 관광객을 대상으로 1박 숙박을 제공하며, 지역 예술가들과 함께 서학예술인마을을 깊이 체험할 수 있도록 구성됐다.

‘서학달빛소리여행’은 지역 기반 예술가들이 주축이 되는 문화 체류형 프로그램으로, 판소리·창작·시 창작 등 다양한 예술 활동을 직접 경험할 수 있는 점이 특징이다. 이번 프로그램은 호원대학교 RISE 사업단이 주관한다.

첫날에는 창극작가 김소라와 함께하는 ‘내 인생의 눈대목 만들기’가 진행된다. 참가자들은 판소리 구성 방식과 사설을 이해한 뒤 자신의 경험을 바탕으로 창작에 도전하며, 이를 실제 소리로 표현하는 시간을 갖는다.

이어 소리꾼 박현영과 함께 판소리 창법과 발성, 사설 해석 등을 배우며 전통 음악을 몸으로 체감하는 미니 공연도 펼쳐진다.

둘째 날에는 신춘문예 등단 시인 김형미의 ‘작가가 사랑한 도시’ 프로그램을 통해 참가자들이 자신의 감정과 경험을 시적 언어로 풀어내는 창작 체험을 이어간다.

주최 측은 “한옥마을 중심의 관광 흐름에서 벗어나 서학동의 문화적 자원을 깊이 소개하고, 지역 예술가와 여행객이 소통하는 새로운 형태의 체류형 프로그램”이라고 설명했다.

A local stay-type program, 'Seohak Moonlight Sound Journey,' which highlights the cultural and artistic resources of Seohak-dong beyond Jeonju Hanok Village, will be held twice on November 28-29 and December 5-6.

Targeted towards tourists from outside Jeonju, the program offers a one-night stay, allowing participants to deeply experience the Seohak Artist Village alongside local artists.

'Seohak Moonlight Sound Journey' is a cultural stay-type program led by local-based artists, offering various art activities such as pansori, creative writing, and poetry creation for direct experience. This program is organized by the RISE team at Howon University.

On the first day, there will be a session titled 'Creating the Lens of My Life' with playwright Kim Sora. Participants will understand the structure and background of pansori, challenge themselves in creating based on their experiences, and have time to express it in actual sound.

Following this, there will be a mini-performance where participants will learn pansori singing techniques, vocalization, interpretation of background stories, and experience traditional music physically with sound artist Park Hyun-young.

On the second day, through poet Kim Hyung-mi's program 'The City Loved by Writers,' participants will continue their creative experience by expressing their emotions and experiences in poetic language.

The organizers explained, "This is a new form of stay-type program where the cultural resources of Seohak-dong are deeply introduced beyond the tourism flow centered around Hanok Village, allowing local artists and travelers to communicate."
