전주교육대학교(총장 박병춘)는 지난 14일 임실 대리초등학교 몽키즈캠프 참여 학생 20여 명을 초청해 ‘한복문화체험교육’을 진행했다. 이번 프로그램은 국립대학육성사업 ‘한복이음교육’의 일환으로, 전주교대 교육봉사 동아리 ‘도담’이 보조강사로 참여했다.

체험교육은 한복의 역사와 종류를 알아보고, 직접 한복을 착용해 고름 매기와 절하는 법을 익힌 뒤 윷놀이 등 전통 놀이를 체험하는 순으로 운영됐다. 프로그램에 참여한 대리초등학교 4학년 학생은 “한복을 입고 친구들과 함께 놀며 설날처럼 특별한 하루를 보냈다”고 소감을 전했다.

보조강사로 참여한 전주교대 권도운 학생은 “아이들이 즐겁게 전통문화를 체험하는 모습을 통해 그 가치를 다시 느끼는 시간이었다”고 말했다. 박병춘 총장은 “이번 체험이 아이들에게 우리 문화에 대한 따뜻한 기억으로 남아 자긍심을 키우는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 초등 예비교사의 전통문화 교육 역량 강화를 목표로 추진된 ‘전통 한복 이음 교육’의 하나로, 전주교대는 한복 체험을 지역사회로 확대하며 세대 간 전통문화 공유에도 기여하고 있다.

Jeonju National University of Education (President Park Byeong-chun) invited around 20 students from Imshil Daeri Elementary School who participated in the Monkeyz Camp on the 14th to conduct a 'Hanbok Culture Experience Education'. This program was part of the National University Development Project 'Hanbok Ieum Education', and the Jeonju National University of Education volunteer club 'Dodam' participated as assistant instructors.

The experiential education began with learning about the history and types of Hanbok, then students wore Hanbok, learned how to tie the ribbon and bow, and experienced traditional games such as Yutnori. A 4th-grade student from Daeri Elementary School who participated in the program expressed, "Wearing Hanbok and playing with friends, I spent a special day like Lunar New Year."

Jeonju National University student Kwon Do-woon, who participated as an assistant instructor, said, "It was a time to rediscover the value of traditional culture through seeing children enjoy experiencing traditional culture." President Park Byeong-chun stated, "I hope this experience will leave warm memories of our culture for the children and help them cultivate pride."

This education is one of the 'Traditional Hanbok Ieum Education' programs aimed at enhancing the traditional culture education capabilities of elementary school prospective teachers. Jeonju National University is expanding Hanbok experiences to the local community and contributing to intergenerational sharing of traditional culture.
