순창군이 경력단절여성의 경제활동 복귀를 돕기 위한 ‘시간제 일자리 지원사업’을 본격적으로 시행한다고 21일 밝혔다.

이 사업은 경력단절여성을 고용한 기업에 인건비 일부를 지원해 고용 부담을 줄이는 동시에, 여성에게는 일·가정 양립이 가능한 시간제 일자리를 제공하는 것이 핵심이다.

지원 대상은 순창군에 주소를 둔 만 18세 이상 69세 이하의 미취업 여성으로, 혼인·출산·육아·가족 돌봄 등의 이유로 경력이 단절된 경우다. 주 15시간 이상 35시간 이하로 신규 고용될 경우 지원을 받을 수 있다.

참여 기업에는 1년간 급여와 4대 보험 사업자 부담금의 50%를 지원하며, 신청일 기준 상시근로자 3인 이상을 고용 중인 순창군 내 사업장이어야 한다. 단, 유흥업소, 일용 인력 공급업체, 고용보험 체납 기업 등은 제외된다.

신청은 연중 상시 가능하며, 참여를 원하는 기업이나 구직자는 순창군청 주민복지과를 방문하거나 이메일로 접수할 수 있다. 군은 기업 설명회와 홈페이지 등을 통해 홍보를 이어갈 계획이다.

군 관계자는 “이번 사업은 여성의 재취업을 촉진하고, 기업의 인력난 해소에도 도움이 될 것”이라며 “농촌 여성의 삶의 질 향상과 지역 활력 제고를 위해 다양한 정책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

This program aims to support businesses that employ women who have experienced career interruptions by subsidizing part of the labor costs, thus reducing the burden of employment for the businesses. At the same time, it provides women with part-time jobs that allow for a balance between work and family responsibilities.

The target beneficiaries are unemployed women aged 18 to 69 residing in Suncheon County who have experienced career interruptions due to reasons such as marriage, childbirth, childcare, and family care. They can receive support if they are newly employed for more than 15 hours but less than 35 hours per week.

Participating companies will receive support covering 50% of the salaries and the employer's portion of the four major insurance contributions for a year. To be eligible, the businesses must have at least three regular employees working in Suncheon County at the time of application. However, entertainment establishments, temporary labor supply companies, and companies with unpaid employment insurance premiums are excluded.

Applications can be submitted throughout the year, and companies or job seekers interested in participating can visit the Suncheon County Welfare Department or apply via email. The county plans to promote the program through company briefings and its website.

An official from the county stated, "This program will promote women's reemployment and help alleviate the labor shortage for businesses," adding, "We will continue to implement various policies to improve the quality of life for rural women and enhance regional vitality."
