국제와이즈멘 한국전북지구 남지방 정읍녹두클럽(회장 김용훈)이 지난 19일 정읍시장애인종합복지관을 방문해 지역 장애인을 위한 ‘사랑의 짜장면’ 나눔 봉사활동을 진행했다.

이날 행사에는 클럽 회원들이 참여해 복지관 이용 장애인 230여 명에게 따뜻한 점심 식사를 대접했다. 회원들은 직접 조리에 나서 면을 삶고 소스를 볶는 등 정성을 담았으며, 10명의 회원이 이용자 한 사람 한 사람에게 직접 음식을 전달하며 따뜻한 인사를 건넸다.

김용훈 회장은 “비록 한 그릇의 짜장면이지만 이 나눔이 이웃을 응원하고 지지하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 어려운 이웃에게 지속적인 관심을 갖고 봉사를 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

복지관 관계자는 “정읍녹두클럽의 꾸준한 헌신에 감사드리며, 오늘의 나눔은 단순한 식사를 넘어선 큰 위로였다”고 전했다.

한편 정읍녹두클럽은 2024년 7월 복지관과 업무협약을 맺은 이후, 주거환경 개선과 무료 급식 지원 등 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 이어오며 지역사회에 귀감이 되고 있다.

International Wise Men's South Jeolla Branch in Jeonbuk Province, Korea, visited the Jeongeup Comprehensive Welfare Center on the 19th to carry out a volunteer activity called "Love Jajangmyeon" for local disabled individuals.

On that day, club members served a warm lunch to around 230 disabled individuals using the welfare center. The members personally cooked noodles and stir-fried the sauce with care, and ten members individually delivered food to each user, offering warm greetings.

Chairman Kim Yong-hoon expressed his hope that even though it was just a bowl of jajangmyeon, this sharing would serve as an opportunity to support and encourage neighbors. He stated, "We will continue to show ongoing care for our less fortunate neighbors and engage in volunteer activities."

A welfare center official conveyed gratitude for the consistent dedication of the Jeongeup Nokdu Club, stating that today's sharing was more than just a simple meal; it was a significant source of comfort.

Since signing a business agreement with the welfare center in July 2024, the Jeongeup Nokdu Club has been actively engaging in various social contribution activities such as improving residential environments and providing free meals, becoming a pillar of the local community.
