부안장애인종합복지관(관장 노영웅)이 부안읍에 위치한 브런치 카페 ‘카페 오롯’과 장애인 미술품 정기구독서비스 협약을 체결하고 장애예술인의 창작 활동과 지역사회 상생을 위한 나눔을 이어간다.

‘장애인 미술품 구독서비스’는 장애예술인의 지속적인 창작 활동을 지원하고 경제적 자립을 돕기 위해 부안장애인종합복지관이 추진하는 직업지원 사업이다. 참여 매장에 장애예술인의 작품을 정기적으로 전시하고, 매월 3만 원의 구독 후원금을 작가에게 창작 지원금으로 전달하는 방식이다.

이번 협약에 따라 카페 오롯은 오래된 건물을 재해석해 조성한 아늑한 매장 공간에 장애예술인의 작품을 전시한다. 카페를 찾는 방문객들은 정성스럽게 준비된 음료와 브런치를 즐기는 동시에 장애예술인의 작품을 감상하며 일상 속에서 자연스럽게 문화예술을 접할 수 있게 됐다.

특히 ‘모자람 없이 완전하다’는 의미를 담은 카페 이름 ‘오롯’처럼, 작품과 공간이 어우러져 방문객들에게 보다 특별하고 따뜻한 휴식의 시간을 선사할 것으로 기대된다. 전시 작품은 일정한 주기에 따라 교체해 방문할 때마다 새로운 작품과 분위기를 만날 수 있도록 운영할 예정이다.

현재 부안지역에서는 카페 오롯을 비롯해 미화3색김밥&카페, 뽕디이레농원, 포레도 치유정원, 파리바게뜨 전북부안점 등 여러 사업장이 장애예술인의 든든한 조력자로 참여하며 지역사회 나눔을 실천하고 있다.

카페 오롯 민선희 대표는 “각자의 어려움을 이겨내고 작품 활동을 이어가는 작가분들의 모습이 정말 대단하고 뜻깊게 느껴졌다”며 “작은 참여임에도 의미 있게 생각해주셔서 오히려 감사하다. 앞으로도 작가분들의 활동을 응원하며 좋은 인연으로 오래 함께할 수 있기를 바란다”고 참여 소감을 밝혔다.

노영웅 부안장애인종합복지관장은 “장애예술인의 작품이 지역의 일상적인 공간에서 더 많은 사람과 만날 수 있도록 함께해 주신 카페 오롯에 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 장애예술인의 창작 활동을 지원하고 지역사회와 함께 성장할 수 있는 다양한 기회를 마련하겠다”고 말했다.

Booan Disability Comprehensive Welfare Center (Director No Young-woong) has signed an agreement with the brunch cafe 'Cafe Orot' located in Booan-eup to continue sharing and supporting the creative activities of disabled artists and promoting community coexistence.

The 'Disabled Art Subscription Service' is a vocational support program initiated by Booan Disability Comprehensive Welfare Center to support the continuous creative activities of disabled artists and help them achieve economic independence. Participating stores regularly exhibit works by disabled artists and provide a monthly subscription support fee of 30,000 won to the artists as creative support funds.

Under this agreement, Cafe Orot will exhibit works by disabled artists in a cozy space created by reinterpreting an old building. Visitors to the cafe can enjoy carefully prepared drinks and brunch while appreciating the works of disabled artists, naturally encountering cultural arts in their daily lives.

Especially, like the cafe name 'Orot,' which means 'complete without lacking,' it is expected that the artworks and space will blend together to provide visitors with a more special and warm relaxation time. The exhibition works will be rotated at regular intervals to offer visitors the opportunity to encounter new artworks and atmospheres each time they visit.

Currently, in the Booan area, various businesses such as Cafe Orot, Miwha 3-Color Gimbap & Cafe, Bongdi Ire Farm, Foredo Healing Garden, and Paris Baguette Booan Branch are actively participating as strong supporters of disabled artists, practicing community sharing.

Min Seon-hee, the representative of Cafe Orot, expressed her impression, saying, "The artists who overcome their difficulties and continue their artistic activities are truly remarkable and meaningful," and added, "I am grateful that even a small participation is considered meaningful. I hope to continue supporting the activities of the artists and be together for a long time as good connections."

No Young-woong, Director of Booan Disability Comprehensive Welfare Center, expressed gratitude to Cafe Orot for joining hands to ensure that the works of disabled artists can meet more people in everyday spaces in the region. He stated, "We will continue to support the creative activities of disabled artists and provide various opportunities to grow together with the local community."
