(사)행복나눔지원센터 부설 새벽이슬장애인성폭력상담소(소장 이혜진)는 15일 전주동부교회에서 장애인과 비장애인 등 300명을 대상으로 성과 인권의 차별 없는 인식 확립과 성인지 감수성 향상을 위한 행사를 개최했다.

‘모두가 함께 걷는 길!! 행복한 동행!!’을 주제로 열린 이날 행사는 전주시 성평등 기금을 지원받아 진행, △성·인권 강의 △장애인 연극단 공연 등으로 꾸며졌다.

시는 이번 행사를 통해 장애인과 비장애인이 서로의 다름을 존중하는 것은 물론, 장애인의 올바른 성적 자기 결정권과 성인지감수성 향상을 도와 편견 없는 건강한 지역사회를 조성하는 데 이바지할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

이혜진 새벽이슬장애인성폭력상담소장은 “장애인과 비장애인이 서로를 깊이 이해하고 편견 없는 건강한 지역사회를 만들어가는 소중한 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.

박은주 전주시 복지환경국장은 “성· 인권에 대한 편견과 인식을 개선하고, 모두가 함께 소통하며 어울리는 시간이 되길 바란다”며 “장애인에 대한 사회적 시선과 편견, 성차별 등의 인식 개선을 위해 노력하는 새벽이슬장애인성폭력상담소의 활동을 응원하고 함께하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 새벽이슬 장애인성폭력상담소는 성폭력 피해를 입은 장애인을 대상으로 피해자의 심리안정상담·의료·수사·법적지원·피해자의 성·인권을 위해 활동하는 등 장애인과 지역사회가 더불어 살아가는 사회를 만들기 위해 노력하고 있다.

Park Eun-joo, the head of the Jeonju City Welfare and Environment Department, expressed support for the activities of the Dawn Dew Disability Sexual Violence Counseling Center, which is working to improve perceptions of individuals with disabilities and combat prejudices, discrimination, and biases related to sexuality, aiming to create a society where individuals with disabilities and the local community can live together harmoniously.
