부산국제영화제는 20일 영화의전당에서 개최된 3차 이사회 및 2차 임시총회를 통해
정한석 現 한국영화 프로그래머를 신임 집행위원장으로 최종 선출했다.

부산국제영화제 임원추천위원회(이하 임추위)는 2025년 1월부터 3월까지 두 차례의 집행위원장 공개모집을 통해 영화제의 안정적인 운영과 미래 비전을 제시할 수 있는 적임자를 면밀히 검토했고, 박광수 이사장은 임추위가 추천한 후보자 2인 중 정한석 프로그래머를 최종 후보로 이사회에 추천했다. 3월 20일 이사회를 거쳐 임시총회를 통해 정한석 후보에 대한 선출안을 최종 가결했다.

임추위는 추천의 변을 통해 “정한석 후보는 영화제의 내외부 환경과 다양한 사정을 정통하게 이해하고 있으며, 영화제를 한 단계 더 발전시킬 수 있는 역량을 갖춘 적임자”라고 밝혔다.

The Busan International Film Festival elected Jung Han-seok as the new executive director, during the 3rd board meeting and 2nd interim general meeting held at the Busan Cinema Center on the 20th.

The Executive Director Recommendation Committee of the Busan International Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) meticulously reviewed suitable candidates who could ensure the stable operation and future vision of the festival through two rounds of public recruitment for the executive director position from January to March 2025. Chairman Park Kwang-soo recommended Jung Han-seok, a programmer, as the final candidate to the board of directors from the two candidates recommended by the Committee. On March 20, the board of directors approved the election proposal for Jung Han-seok during the interim general meeting.

Through the recommendation process, the Committee stated, "Candidate Jung Han-seok has a thorough understanding of the internal and external environment of the festival and various circumstances, possessing the capabilities to further develop the festival."
