국립군산대학교는 교육부의 총장 직위 해제 인사 발령에 따라 3월 24일자로 엄기욱 교무처장을 총장 직무대리로 지정했다고 밝혔다.

엄기욱 직무대리는 이날 오전 주요 보직자들과 긴급회의를 열고 대학 현안을 점검하며, 라이즈사업·글로컬대학사업·모집단위 광역화 등 주요 사업들을 차질 없이 추진하겠다고 강조했다.

그는 “대학 구성원 모두가 흔들림 없이 역할을 수행하고, 긴밀한 소통을 통해 지혜를 모아가자”고 말했다.

엄기욱 직무대리(58)는 사회복지학과 교수로, 성결대를 졸업하고 일본사회사업대에서 석·박사 학위를 받았다. 한국노인복지학회 회장, 한국장례문화진흥원 이사 등을 역임했으며, 법무부장관·보건복지부장관 표창을 수상한 바 있다.

The National Gunsan University announced that it has appointed Eom Ki-wook, the head of the academic affairs office, as the acting president as of March 24, following the Ministry of Education's order to dismiss the president.

Eom Ki-wook, the acting president, held an emergency meeting with key officials on the same day to review current university issues, emphasizing that he would continue to promote major projects such as the Rise Project, Global University Project, and the expansion of recruitment units without any disruption.

He said, "All members of the university should perform their roles without shaking, and let's gather wisdom through close communication."

Eom Ki-wook, the acting president (58), is a professor in the Department of Social Welfare. He graduated from Sungkyul University and received his master's and doctoral degrees from the Japan Social Work University. He has served as the president of the Korean Association of Elderly Welfare and a director of the Korean Funeral Culture Promotion Institute, and has received commendations from the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Health and Welfare.
