정읍시 보건소가 유아의 건강한 성장과 장애 인식 개선을 위한 체험형 교육 프로그램 ‘샘골건강동산 & 어린이장애체험교실’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 지역 내 어린이집과 유치원에 재원 중인 7세 아동을 대상으로 하며, 놀이를 통해 비만 예방과 신체 발달을 돕고, 장애 체험을 통해 배려와 포용의 가치를 자연스럽게 익히도록 구성됐다.

건강 교육은 허들, 훌라후프, 고리 던지기 등 신체 활동을 중심으로 진행되며, 장애 체험은 휠체어와 흰 지팡이 사용 등으로 일상 속 장애인의 삶을 간접 체험할 수 있도록 한다.

교육은 4월 17일부터 11월 27일까지 매주 목요일 오전 10시부터 11시 30분까지 진행되며, 상반기는 샘골보건지소, 하반기는 정읍시 보건소 교육실에서 각각 운영될 예정이다.

보건소 관계자는 “놀이와 체험을 통해 어린이들이 몸과 마음을 함께 성장시킬 수 있도록 돕겠다”며 많은 기관의 관심과 참여를 당부했다.

Jeongeup City Health Center announced that it will be operating an experiential education program called 'Samgol Health Farm & Children's Disability Experience Classroom' to promote healthy growth in children and improve awareness of disabilities.

This program targets 7-year-old children attending local kindergartens and daycare centers, aiming to assist in obesity prevention and physical development through play, and to naturally instill values of consideration and inclusivity through disability experiences.

Health education will focus on physical activities such as hurdles, hula hoops, and ring toss, while disability experiences will allow indirect experiences of the lives of people with disabilities in daily routines, using wheelchairs and white canes.

The education program will run from April 17 to November 27 every Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:30, with the first half of the year taking place at Samgol Health Center and the second half at Jeongeup City Health Center's education room.

A health center official stated, "Through play and experiences, we will help children grow both physically and mentally," and urged for the interest and participation of many organizations.
