전북특별자치도는 28일 김관영 도지사 주재로 도청에서 장애인 정책 발전을 위한 간담회를 열었다. 간담회에는 전북장애인정책포럼(대표 박경노) 소속 16개 장애인 단체 대표들이 참석해 다양한 현안을 논의하고 개선 방안을 제안했다.

장애인 단체 대표들은 이날 자리에서 장애인 일자리 확대, 맞춤형 복지 서비스 강화, 이동권 보장, 문화·체육 참여 확대 등의 필요성을 강조했다. 이에 대해 김 지사는 “장애인 복지와 일자리 확대를 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”며 장애계의 적극적인 의견 제시를 요청했다.

또한 김 지사는 전북이 2036년 하계올림픽 유치 후보 도시로 선정된 것과 관련해 “올림픽을 장애인과 비장애인이 함께 어우러지는 포용의 축제로 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

박경노 대표는 “도 청사 내 장애인 전용 상담실이 운영되면서 많은 장애인들에게 큰 도움이 되고 있다”며 전북도의 지속적인 관심과 지원을 당부했다.

김관영 지사는 “전북은 포용적 사회를 지향한다”며 “장애인과 비장애인이 함께 살아가는 따뜻한 복지 전북을 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.

On the 28th, Jeollabuk Special Self-Governing Province held a meeting at the provincial office led by Governor Kim Gwan-young to discuss the development of policies for people with disabilities. Representatives from 16 disability organizations affiliated with the Jeollabuk Disability Policy Forum (represented by Park Gyeong-no) attended the meeting, where they discussed various current issues and proposed improvement measures.

During the meeting, the representatives emphasized the need to expand job opportunities for people with disabilities, strengthen customized welfare services, ensure mobility rights, and enhance participation in culture and sports. In response, Governor Kim stated, "I will continue to make efforts to expand welfare for people with disabilities and create more job opportunities," requesting active input from the disability community.

Furthermore, Governor Kim mentioned that Jeollabuk was selected as a candidate city for the 2036 Summer Olympics, stating, "I will make the Olympics a festival of inclusivity where people with and without disabilities come together."

Park Gyeong-no, the forum's representative, expressed gratitude for the operation of a dedicated consultation room for people with disabilities within the provincial office, stating that it has been very helpful to many individuals with disabilities, and requested Jeollabuk Province's continued interest and support.

Governor Kim Gwan-young stated, "Jeollabuk Province aspires to be an inclusive society," adding, "We will strive to create a warm welfare environment in Jeollabuk where people with and without disabilities live together."
