윤석열 전 대통령의 헌법재판소 파면 결정을 환영하며, 청소년 및 인권단체들이 “이제는 평등과 민주주의를 위한 사회대개혁에 나설 때”라며 공동성명을 발표했다.

청소년인권행동 아수나로, 청소년녹색당, 정의당 청소년위원회 등 10개 단체는 4일 발표한 성명에서 “윤석열 파면은 결코 끝이 아니며, 민주주의와 인권, 성평등의 가치를 일상 속에 뿌리내리게 해야 한다”고 밝혔다. 이들은 윤 전 대통령을 “반인권·반민주 세력의 상징”으로 규정하며, 12·3 내란 사태와 위헌·위법적 비상계엄 시도 등을 언급했다.

성명은 “윤석열 정권은 청소년·소수자 차별, 입시경쟁 교육 강화, 학생인권조례 폐지, 복지 예산 삭감 등으로 청소년의 권리를 침해해 왔다”며, “5만 명 청소년의 시국선언과 광장 행동은 민주주의 회복의 중요한 출발점”이라고 평가했다.

또한 이들은 “학생인권법 제정, 청소년 정치기본권 보장, 입시경쟁 폐지 등 사회대개혁 과제를 함께 쟁취하겠다”고 밝히며, 청소년이 더는 ‘유예된 존재’가 아닌 ‘동료 시민’으로서 온전한 권리를 보장받아야 한다고 강조했다.

단체들은 “극우 세력의 준동과 민주주의 후퇴를 막기 위해, 윤석열을 비롯한 내란 가담자들을 엄정히 처벌해야 한다”며, “시민이 주인이 되는 사회를 향해 연대의 힘으로 싸워나갈 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

Youth and human rights organizations have welcomed the Constitutional Court's decision to impeach former President Yoon Suk Yeol, declaring that this marks the beginning—not the end—of a broader movement for equality and democratic reform.

On April 4, ten organizations including Asunaro (Youth Human Rights Action), the Youth Green Party, and the Youth Committee of the Justice Party issued a joint statement calling Yoon a “symbol of anti-human rights and anti-democratic forces.” They referenced the December 3 coup attempt and Yoon’s unconstitutional martial law scheme, stressing the need to root out such threats to democracy.

The statement criticized the Yoon administration’s policies for infringing on the rights of youth and minorities, citing intensified academic competition, the repeal of student rights ordinances, and budget cuts for youth and welfare services. It praised the political awakening of 50,000 young people who issued declarations and participated in protests demanding Yoon’s resignation and accountability.

The organizations pledged to fight for key reforms such as enacting a Student Human Rights Act, ensuring political rights for youth, and dismantling the competitive education system. They emphasized that young people must be recognized not as “citizens-in-waiting” but as full members of society with equal rights.

Finally, they called for the prosecution of Yoon and other coup participants, vowing to stand in solidarity against far-right forces and work toward a society where democracy and human rights take root in everyday life.
