발달장애 작가들의 창작 활동을 지원하는 단체 '아트림'의 제14회 정기전 '숲을 닮은 조각들(The pieces of Forest)'이 오는 21일부터 26일까지 인사동 갤러리 라메르 1층 제3전시실에서 개최된다.

이번 전시는 '끌림이 있는' 발달장애 아티스트들의 작품세계를 소개하며, 강예진, 강태원, 공윤성, 권한솔, 김다혜, 김지민, 김채성, 김태환, 김한별, 김혜윤, 박혜림, 박혜신, 배주현, 양진혁, 이동우, 이세원, 이소연, 이은수, 이진원, 장주희, 정성원, 최민석 등 22명의 아트림 소속 작가들이 참여한다. 각 작가들은 자신의 대표작 1점씩을 선보이는 한편, '숲(Green)'을 주제로 한 공동작품도 함께 전시된다. 공통된 주제에 대한 작가들의 서로 다른 해석을 볼 수 있다.

아트림은 발달장애 작가와 부모들이 함께 설립한 비영리단체로, 예술의전당, 청와대 춘추관, 오스트리아 비엔나 등 국내외에서 다양한 전시 활동을 이어오고 있다. 특히 7년 전 전시회 방명록에 남겨진 "자살하러 가다 그림 보고 마음 돌렸어요"라는 메시지처럼, 아트림 작가들의 작품은 관람객들에게 깊은 감동과 치유의 메시지를 전달하고 있다.

김경희 아트림 대표는 "아트림 정기전은 작가들과 부모님들이 힘을 합쳐 준비했다"며 "예술을 사랑하는 모든 분들을 초대한다"고 밝혔다. 또한 "관람객들의 따뜻한 격려가 발달장애 작가들이 세상과 소통하며 살아갈 수 있는 큰 힘이 된다"고 덧붙였다.

이번 전시의 오프닝 행사는 5월 22일 목요일 오후 3시에 진행될 예정이다. 관람을 원하면 5월 21일부터 26일까지 인사동 갤러리 라메르(서울 종로구 인사동 5길 26)를 방문하면 된다. 관람시간은 오전 10시 30분부터 오후 6시까지이다.

아트림은 '예술로 숲을 이루다'라는 의미를 담고 있으며, 예술이라는 매체를 통해 세상과 소통할 수 있는 장을 마련해주고자 발달장애 예술가들의 특성과 재능을 지원하는 단체다. 이번 전시를 통해 관람객들은 이들 작가들만의 독특한 시선과 표현력을 엿볼 수 있는 기회를 가질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This exhibition introduces the artistic world of 'attractive' artists with developmental disabilities, with 22 Artlim-affiliated artists participating, including Kang Ye-jin, Kang Tae-won, Gong Yoon-seong, Kwon Han-sol, Kim Da-hye, Kim Ji-min, Kim Chae-sung, Kim Tae-hwan, Kim Han-byeol, Kim Hye-yoon, Park Hye-rim, Park Hye-shin, Bae Ju-hyun, Yang Jin-hyuk, Lee Dong-woo, Lee Se-won, Lee So-yeon, Lee Eun-soo, Lee Jin-won, Jang Ju-hee, Jung Sung-won, and Choi Min-seok. Each artist will showcase one representative piece, and a collaborative artwork on the theme 'Forest (Green)' will also be exhibited, showcasing the different interpretations of the common theme by the artists.

Artlim is a non-profit organization founded by developmental disability artists and parents, and has been actively participating in various exhibition activities domestically and internationally, including at the National Theater of Korea, Cheong Wa Dae Chun Chu Kwan, and the Vienna Biennale in Austria. The artworks of Artlim artists convey deep emotions and messages of healing to viewers, as seen in messages like "I was going to commit suicide, but changed my mind after seeing the painting" left in the exhibition guestbook seven years ago.

Kim Kyung-hee, the representative of Artlim, stated, "The Artlim regular exhibition was prepared with the collaboration of artists and parents," and invited all art lovers to attend. She added, "The warm encouragement from viewers becomes a great source of strength for developmental disability artists to communicate with the world and live on."
