남원시 운봉읍(읍장 이은주)은 제21대 대통령 선거를 앞두고 유권자의 투표 참여를 독려하기 위한 캠페인을 5월 16일 운봉시장과 한국경마축산고등학교에서 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 캠페인에는 운봉읍 이장단, 공무원, 경마축산고 학생들이 함께 참여했으며, “침묵은 NO! 투표는 YES!”, “말보다 투표! 생각보다 실천!” 등의 문구가 담긴 피켓과 현수막을 활용해 주민들의 관심을 이끌었다.

특히 경마축산고 학생들의 자발적인 참여는 청소년의 시각에서 선거의 중요성을 환기시키는 데 기여했다. 이은주 읍장은 “지역 구성원 모두가 함께한 뜻깊은 캠페인”이라며 “더 많은 유권자들이 소중한 권리를 행사하길 바란다”고 전했다.

운봉읍은 앞으로도 공명선거 문화 확산과 투표 참여율 제고를 위한 홍보 활동을 지속할 계획이다.

Voting is YES!" and "Vote more than words! Action more than thoughts!" to attract the interest of residents.

In particular, the voluntary participation of students from Korea Racing High School contributed to revitalizing the importance of elections from the perspective of youth. Mayor Lee Eun-ju described it as a "meaningful campaign that all local residents participated in" and expressed hope that "more voters will exercise their precious rights."

Unbong Town plans to continue promoting activities to spread a culture of fair elections and increase voter turnout in the future.
