정읍시 청소년들의 방과 후 학습 공간인 청소년방과후아카데미(이하 방카)가 고향사랑기금의 지원으로 쾌적하고 안전한 시설로 새단장된다.

정읍시는 21일, 청소년수련관 2층에 위치한 방카의 노후 시설을 개선하기 위한 보강·집기 교체 사업을 고향사랑기금 5천만 원을 활용해 본격 추진 중이라고 밝혔다. 사업은 낡은 책상과 의자, 수납장 등 교실 집기를 교체하고, 교육용 컴퓨터와 냉난방기를 최신 장비로 교체하는 한편, 바닥과 천장, 벽면 보강을 포함한다.

특히 이번 리모델링은 지난해 청소년들의 시설 이용 만족도 조사를 반영해 추진되고 있어 실효성이 높다는 평가다. 시는 이용에 지장이 없도록 방카 미운영 시간대를 활용해 공사를 진행하고 있으며, 오는 6월 말까지 모든 보강 작업을 마무리할 계획이다.

한편, 방카는 중학교 1~3학년 청소년을 대상으로 월요일부터 금요일까지 운영되며, 등·하원 차량, 교과학습, 저녁식사, 진로 체험 등 다양한 프로그램을 제공하고 있다. 입학 문의는 ☎ 063-533-7959로 하면 된다.

The youth after-school learning space for teenagers in Jeongeup City, called the Youth After-School Academy (hereinafter referred to as "Banga"), is being renovated into a pleasant and safe facility with the support of the Hometown Love Fund.

Jeongeup City announced on the 21st that they are actively promoting a reinforcement and furniture replacement project for the aging facilities of Banga, located on the 2nd floor of the Youth Training Center, utilizing 50 million won from the Hometown Love Fund. The project involves replacing old desks, chairs, storage cabinets, classroom furniture, upgrading educational computers and air conditioning/heating units to the latest equipment, as well as reinforcing the floors, ceilings, and walls.

In particular, this remodeling project is being carried out based on a satisfaction survey of youth facility usage conducted last year, making it highly effective. The city is conducting the construction during non-operating hours of Banga to minimize disruption to users, and plans to complete all reinforcement work by the end of June.
