전북교육청이 2025학년도 ‘원어민 화상영어 토킹 클래스’ 2기 참여 학생을 오는 6월 4일부터 모집한다고 27일 밝혔다.

이 프로그램은 기존 ‘화상영어 홈클래스’의 새 이름으로, 초등 3학년부터 고등 3학년까지가 대상이며, 원어민 강사와 1:3 그룹으로 주 2회, 회당 30분씩 9주간 수업이 진행된다. 특히 기존 초4 이상이던 신청 대상을 초3까지 확대했다.

수업은 6월 24일부터 8월 25일까지 진행되며, 참여를 원하는 학생은 6월 4일 오후 6시부터 18일 오후 9시까지 전용 사이트(https://www.jhcenglish.co.kr/)에서 개별 신청하면 된다.

문형심 창의인재교육과장은 “영어 실력 향상과 사교육비 절감을 위해 대상 학년을 확대했다”며 “현장의 만족도가 높은 만큼 지속적으로 확대 지원할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education announced on the 27th that they will be recruiting students for the 2nd session of the 'Native Speaker Video English Talking Class' for the 2025 school year starting from June 4th.

This program, formerly known as the 'Video English Home Class,' is targeted at students from 3rd grade elementary to 3rd grade high school, where they will have lessons with a native English teacher in groups of 1:3 twice a week for 30 minutes each, over a period of 9 weeks. Particularly, they have expanded the application eligibility from those in 4th grade and above to include up to 3rd grade.

The classes will run from June 24th to August 25th, and students who wish to participate can individually apply on the dedicated website (https://www.jhcenglish.co.kr/) from 6 pm on June 4th to 9 pm on June 18th.

Moon Hyeong-sim, the head of the Creative Talent Education Department, stated, "We have expanded the target grades to enhance English proficiency and reduce private education expenses," and added, "We plan to continuously expand support as the satisfaction level on-site is high."
