국립민속국악원(원장 김중현)은 오는 6월 14일 오후 2시 예음헌에서 ‘2025 소리 판 명창무대’ 첫 공연을 개최한다.

이번 무대에는 국가무형유산 판소리 예능보유자인 김일구 명창과 전북특별자치도 무형유산 판소리 예능보유자인 송재영 명창이 출연해 깊이 있는 판소리의 진수를 선보일 예정이다.

‘소리 판 명창무대’는 국립민속국악원이 개원 이후 꾸준히 이어오고 있는 대표 판소리 기획공연으로, 국내 최고의 대명창을 초청해 이들의 소리를 가까이에서 들을 수 있는 특별한 무대로 기획됐다. 공모를 통해 선발된 소리꾼이 무대에 오르는 ‘소리 판 완창무대’와는 달리, 명창의 주요 눈대목을 감상할 수 있는 기회다.

이번 공연에서는 김일구 명창이 박봉술제 <적벽가>를, 송재영 명창이 동초제 <춘향가>를 각각 들려준다. 두 명창은 각자의 유파와 전통을 바탕으로 한 소리로, 관객들에게 감동을 선사할 것으로 기대된다.

국립민속국악원 관계자는 “이번 무대는 당대 최고의 명창을 직접 만날 수 있는 귀한 자리”라며 “명창들의 삶과 예술이 고스란히 담긴 깊이 있는 공연을 통해 판소리의 진면목을 느낄 수 있을 것”이라고 전했다.

한편, ‘소리 판 명창무대’는 2025년에 두 차례 마련되며, 다음 공연은 오는 9월에 열릴 예정이다.

In this performance, Kim Il-gu, a holder of the national intangible cultural heritage of Pansori, and Song Jae-young, a holder of the intangible cultural heritage of Pansori in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, will showcase the essence of profound Pansori.

The 'Sound Pan Myeongchang Stage' is a representative Pansori planning performance that the National Gugak Center has been consistently holding since its opening. It is designed as a special stage where the audience can listen closely to the sounds of the country's top Myeongchang singers. Unlike the 'Sound Pan Complete Stage,' where selected sound performers take the stage through auditions, this is an opportunity to appreciate the main highlights of the Myeongchang singers.

In this performance, Kim Il-gu will perform "Jeokbyeokga" by Park Bong-sul, and Song Jae-young will perform "Chunhyangga" by Dongcho. The two singers are expected to move the audience with their sounds based on their respective styles and traditions.

An official from the National Gugak Center stated, "This stage is a precious opportunity to directly meet the best Myeongchang singers of our time," adding, "Through a profound performance that fully embodies the lives and art of these singers, the true essence of Pansori can be felt."
