(재)춘향장학재단(이사장 최경식)은 지난 6월 5일 남원시청 강당에서 2025년도 춘향인재 장학생 장학증서 수여식을 개최했다. 이 자리에는 재단 이사, 학생, 교사 등 130여 명이 참석했다.

올해는 총 130명의 장학생이 선정됐으며, 지급된 장학금은 2억 3,500만 원에 달한다. 장학생은 ▲우수 장학생 54명 ▲특기 장학생 41명 ▲보람 장학생 21명 ▲희망 장학생 14명으로 구성됐으며, 고등학교 우수 신입생에게는 최고 500만 원까지 지급됐다.

수여식에서는 ‘이사장님과의 톡톡!’ 프로그램을 통해 학생들과 꿈과 진로에 대한 소통의 시간도 마련됐다. 최경식 이사장은 “여러분은 남원의 미래를 이끌 주역”이라며 “장학금은 많은 이들의 뜻이 모여 마련된 만큼 사회에 기여하는 인재로 성장하길 바란다”고 당부했다.

춘향장학재단은 1995년 설립 이래 지금까지 총 2,731명에게 114억 3천만 원의 장학금을 지급해왔으며, 서울 보문동에 ‘남원장학숙’을 운영하는 등 지역 인재 육성에 힘쓰고 있다.

Chunhyang Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Choi Kyung-sik) held the 2025 Chunhyang Talent Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony at the auditorium of Namwon City Hall on June 5th. About 130 people, including foundation directors, students, and teachers, attended the event.

This year, a total of 130 scholarship recipients were selected, and the scholarships awarded amount to 235 million won. The recipients include 54 outstanding scholars, 41 talented scholars, 21 fulfilling scholars, and 14 hopeful scholars. The top 500 million won was awarded to outstanding new high school students.

During the ceremony, a program called 'Chat with the Chairman!' was held to provide students with a time for communication about their dreams and career paths. Chairman Choi Kyung-sik stated, "You are the leading actors who will lead the future of Namwon. I hope you grow into talents who contribute to society, as the scholarships are made possible by the contributions of many."

Since its establishment in 1995, the Chunhyang Scholarship Foundation has provided a total of 11.43 billion won in scholarships to 2,731 individuals. The foundation is dedicated to fostering local talents, operating the 'Namwon Scholarship Dormitory' in Bomun-dong, Seoul.
